"Doesn't James look particularly handsome today?" You say to Marlene, who was stuffing her face with pudding.
"No." She says bluntly, pudding dripping down her chin.
You look over to James and wave a little to hard for your liking, but you couldn't help it. Just looking at him made your heart rush.
He waved back with the same enthusiasm and you couldn't help the blush that crept up your neck.
Sirius looked over and winked in your direction, urging you suppress an eye roll.
Nothing more than a brother he was, same with Peter and his adorable little brother place in your heart. And Remus was like a cute twin. You guys both loved reading in the library together.
Back to James and his amazing self.
He was making a Gryffindor first year laugh. It was in his nature to have everyone around him in a good mood. And he always succeeded.
"If you keep staring his going to think it's creepy" Lily's voice said.
"Right" you turned away from him and looked at the cake in front of you. It didn't seem as appealing to you as James.

"Hey Y/l/n, can you do me a favor" James said walking up to you while in the library. He leaned next to you trapping you with both arms on either side of the table. Remus watched as you squirmed.
"Of course, what ever you need" your cheeks turned red at you boldness.
"We need to prank Snape" he beamed down at you.
"Ok!" You said a little to excitedly.
"Your going to flirt with him"
Your smile dropped and James was quick to explain his plan.
Apparently you were going to prank him by asking him to meet up at the Astronomy tower, so the boys can douse him in shampoo and water.
It was a little funny, his hair was ridiculously greasy.
"Why me?" You asked
"Well your pretty, and your voice is nice to listen to. So it would be impossible for him to say no" James said.
You heart fluttered when he called you pretty, he likes your voice???

The lanky boy looked at you over his crooked nose and fought back a sneer.
"What do you want"
"I want to talk to you"

"Yes"
He turned away. Annoyed at the thought of a Gryffindor like you even looking his way. He knew you were friends with Lily and the Marauders, something was up.
