"Alright, grab onto Tam's arm and step into the light."

Norman sighed as he latched onto Ray's arm. Ray smirked up at him. Wait, up at him? Dang, Norman had grown taller than him by a few inches. Apparently, Ray also seemed to notice that at that moment because his smirk turned into a frown.

"F*ck this." He muttered as he stepped into the light with Norman. Norman felt himself breaking apart and then reassembling in Japan. Both him and Ray sat down.

"My head." Ray groaned.

"What was that?" Norman asked. Ray turned to him, his pale cheeks slightly red.

"Light leaping. We use the light to leap to places. It reassembles you so newbies need a nexus to keep themselves together. I haven't been doing it for long so I'm still a newbie at it and on top of that, I'm a Shade. But my concentration is really strong so..."

Norman nodded before frowning.

"Ray, are you alright?"
"Fine. Anyway, come on. We have to meet the others in the town square." He got up. Norman followed him while looking around. Suddenly, he clutched onto Ray's arm.

"Ray, look. Sushi."

Tam turned.

"Sushi."

They both looked at each other with wicked grins on their faces.

"Sushi."

--------------

"Where did you get the sushi from?" Sophie asked.

"Bought it from a store." Tam said, taking another piece of sushi.

"You know that has meat in it, right?"

Tam flinched as Norman stared at him, confused. Tam sighed before tapping his fingers.

Elves don't eat meat.

Norman nodded before stealing the sushi piece. Tam stared at the place his sushi piece was supposed to be in before turning around to glare at Norman.

"Really? That was my piece of vegetarian sushi."

Norman just licked his lips slowly as Keefe laughed. Tam turned his glare to Keefe.

"Boys, focus! We have to find the entrance to the Demon World!"

Ray sighed.

"Got it." He said, rolling his eyes. His fingers tapped on a nearby building.

Is there an entrance here in Japan? One is at the Statue of Liberty but...

Norman quickly turned to him and nodded.

Where?

Norman tilted his head towards a statue in the middle of the plaza. Tam quickly went to it and inspected it. His fingers grazed the surface yet nothing happened. He frowned before tapping on it.

How do you unlock this?

"Pen."

Tam's eyes widened before he reached for his pocket. Norman looked at it.

"You still have yours?"

He nodded.

"It's the one you gave."

Norman smiled before pointing to a little hole that the pen would definitely fit into.

"Thanks. Now let's go before they find out."
