It was later on in the day when Rosalinda was returning to the hotel that she ran into Rafael again. Only this time he seemed to be almost glowing. "Hey, what's going on? You look really happy."
"She's letting me come to the ultrasound!" Rafael exclaimed, smiling widely with his arms raised.
"Oh, that's awesome Raf! I'm so happy for you."
They hugged, and both of them quickly realizing, that this was not just a friendly hug.
"I want you to come. I feel like you and Jane would really like each other." Rafael suggested, and Rosalinda couldn't help but think of how much of a bad idea that was.
"I don't know Raf, I couldn't just insert myself into her life like that. She must be really overwhelmed, I wouldn't want to stress her out. Also, wouldn't it be kind of rude to show up to her sonogram?" Rosalinda tried to reason with him, but he gripped her arms and pulled her to face him.
"It's my child, and you're a part of my life, so you'll be in the babies life. It would be better for Jane to meet you, so she gets to know you."
There it was again, that soul-blazing gaze that Rafael always seemed to look at her with. Although she knew he would probably never feel the same about her again, she couldn't help the intense wave of emotion taking over her body and traveling down to her core. His eyes trailed down her face, and down her body like he was undressing her with his eyes.
Rafael had become aware of her in his arms, much more aware than he would like her to know. His mind was flashing to their time together, of how their bodies moved together. His eyes moved of their own accord. His hands moving unconsciously from her arms to her waist, gripping her closer.
"I-I'll think about it, no promises though."

Rosalinda had thought about it, and while she didn't want to pry into some woman's life - she had an urge to meet her. The office was packed with pregnant women, but once she saw the big horde of people crowding around a very nervous Latina woman she knew she was in the right place.
"Hi, Jane? I'm Rosalinda Escobar, Rafael invited me. I hope I'm not intruding, if I am I can go." Rosalinda held out her hand. Jane hesitantly shook it.
"Hi, I'm Jane Villanueva. Now are you related to Rafael or-?"
"No, no. I'm his best-friend, I have been for a long time. We've just recently got back in touch. Now, if you need anything you can come to me. I've been told I'm a good listener." Rosalinda smiled at Jane, and Jane felt a sense of peace wash over her.
While they waited, Rosalinda had been experiencing sharp glares from Petra the entire time. Of course it had made it awkward, but she just tried to ignore it. She had chatted up with Alba and Xiomara, Jane's grandma and mom. They were really nice, and reminded her of the homey feeling she got every time she visited home. It made her think about how much she missed her family.
It was so hard being away from her family, especially her nieces and nephews. But she missed her mothers worst of all. Her biological mother, Esperanza, understood - but she was still upset that she had been moving away. Her adoptive mother, Angelica, on the other hand had been so distraught. Alexander had called her worried because he said it felt like their grandmother's Shiva all over again. So she called her mother to get the family to stop worrying. Her mother had said as long as she keeps up with all holidays and remembers to call every week that she would stop being so worried.
Rafael approached her, a smile on his face. "I'm glad you came, it means a lot to me."
"I know, that's why I came." Rosalinda and Rafael smiled and laughed, unaware of multiple sets of eyes on them.
"What do you think the story is with them?" Jane whispered to Michael, looking at Rosalinda and Rafael sharing heart eyes.
"Who knows." Michael hummed, looking between the pair and Petra. "But Petra doesn't seem to like it."
"Jane Villanueva!" Multiple sets of eyes snapped up, and a multitude of people jumped up.
Rosalinda pushed Rafael with them towards the door. "Go! I'll stay out here." He smiled at her giddily when she held up two thumbs up.
While Rafael and Jane did the scan, Rosalinda roamed around the hospital floor. Soon enough she found herself in the hallway of Jane's examination room. At seeing Petra and Michael outside the door she opted to turn around, until she heard something shocking.
"End the affair." Michael spoke with certainty, still looking through the window into the room.
Petra's facial expression didn't change at all "I don't know what you're talking about."
"Then I'll be clear then. Stop sleeping with Roman Zazo."
"How...?"
"Came by the hotel, saw you together." Michael shrugged casually, as if it was no big deal.
"Where?"
"Doesn't matter. Do you even want this baby?"
"Yes, of course I want this baby, I'm..." Despite the words, Rosalinda knew what the real answer was. Of course she didn't want the baby. She wanted Rafael and she wanted money.
"Then end it. Or I'll tell your husband. And, trust me, Jane's not giving that baby to him alone."
"And you don't want it." Petra smirked, like she had won some victory. "Fine. I'll end it. Who knows? Maybe I'll ask you for a favor at some point."
Rosalinda escaped down another hallway before she could be seen by either of them. Only one thought on her mind, she had to tell Rafael.
