Chapter 8

It was now night. The special operations squad was in a small room talking and drinking tea. You sat directly in front of Eren with Petra beside you. She kept rambling on about random things that weren't relevant with what the squad wanted to talk about but they let her talk. You were sick and tired of her talking and Levi could see that because he was too.

"I hear that they're thinking of launching a large-scale expedition outside the walls in a month. We'll probably be told to stay on standby for the next few days though." Eld started, changing the subject from Petra to actual scout information. "They may be rushing it though. Putting some newbies into the expedition aswell?"

Thank you so much Eld. I didn't need to hear her rambling on about irrelevant stuff.

"Is that true? Isn't it a bit to soon for that? They just went through a titan invasion not to long ago in Trost." Gunther spoke adding on to what Eld was saying.

"The brats were probably shitting their pants." Oluo laughed. His words made you mad. You got up from your seat and grabbed him by his collar making him stand up. "Don't you think you should shut your mouth once in a while? Stop acting like the captain and act like yourself for once. It's really pissing me off. You shouldn't be laughing about the Trost invasion like that either! Multiple soldiers died that day. They were scared and many were lost so shut the fuck up!" You yelled in his face.

You suddenly felt a sharp pain on your right cheek. "Don't touch him you titan freak!" Petra screamed at you as you let go of Oluo and fell to the floor. *Thud* You hit the floor. You looked up at Petra with an evil smile. "Think of who you punch next time. You do realize that I could stomp on you and you would go 'Splat' Right?" You got up and walked towards her. "Oh but I won't do that. But that doesn't mean I won't fight back." You punched her two times. "Levi, this. Levi, that. You talk about the captain 24/7 it's getting really fucking annoying especially coming from you!" You pushed her making her fall on her ass. "You underground children are disgusting, rude and violent!" She yelled at you. You grabbed her by her hair and looked her in the eyes. "Watch your mouth. I'm not the only one from the underground here." You let go if her.

You felt hands around your waist. You looked at the table to see who was gone and it was Levi. "Calm down cadet. You don't have to fight for me." You stopped trying to keep fighting Petra and calmed down. "This necklace means something to you right?" She started. You touched your neck and the necklace wasn't there. When did she take it?! You looked at Petra and she had it in her hands. "You wouldn't mind if I broke it would you?" Your eyes widened. Petra raised her arm up and hit the necklace against the table making it break. "Isabel, Farlan.." You mumbled. "Was it precious to you? Maybe, maybe not. You probably stole it." You started to cry. "You bitch! That necklace was everything to me! M-my friends.. they're... dead because of the titans and that's the only memory I had of them" You spoke crying softly. "Good." Was her reply. "What?" Levi spoke. "It's good that her friends are dead. She'll learn to be alone." Petra replied to Levi. "They were my friends too. That necklace meant something to me just as much as it did to Y/n." Levi told her. "Oh well i'm sorry Levi."She smiled at him. "It's captain. And im not forgiving you for what you have done. You're getting cleaning duties... for two months."

Levi still had his hands on your waist but he let go. "Give me the broken necklace. That's an order." Levi ordered her to give him the necklace. She did as he said and gave him the broken necklace. "Why should I get cleaning duties? Shouldn't Y/n get them?!" Petra asked. "No." Levi have her a simple reply. "Y/n follow me." Levi told you, walking towards the door and opening it. You followed behind him and walked through the door. He walked behind you closing the door.

You walked thorough the halls silently next to Levi sniffling and wiping your tears with your head down. "Helloo Levi! Y/n!" Hange said with enthusiasm. "Hey, Hange." You said sniffling and sounding sad. "What's wrong Y/n? You're usually much happier." They asked you. "Petra broke Isabel's necklace." Levi told them. "Let me see. I might be able to fix it." They walked over to Levi who had the bracelet in his hands. "Hmm I think I can fix it! Doesn't seem to bad!" They happily said. You looked up and smiled. "Really?! Thank you Hange you're the best. You're like an older sibling honestly." You told them. "I mean we could call each other siblings! Not biologically though." They said. "Okay!" You smiled and hugged them. "Give me the necklace i'll take care of it!" Levi handed them the necklace. "Well if you're calm now then we should go back." Levi told you. You nodded and started walking back to the room.
