Chapter 11

The scouts ball is tomorrow. No one has asked you yet, not even Levi. What's up with him? I thought he might've already asked me to go. Is it because of what Erwin told us? You thought to yourself.

[knock knock knock] You heard someone knocking at your room door. You walked over to the door and opened it to see Sasha and Connie standing there with wide smiles. "Oh uh hey guys."

"Hey, Y/n. We have a surprise for you." Sasha said.

"What is it?" You asked.

"It's!-" Connie quickly covered Sasha's mouth before she spoiled the surprise.

"You have to see for yourself. If we told you it wouldn't be much of a surprise."

"That's true. Where is it though?"

"It's on the field."

"Alright let's go then." You walked out closing your room door and leaving with Sasha and Connie to the field.

Once you got outside Sasha and Connie blindfolded you. "What are you guys doing?!" You raised your voice. "Chill out Y/n, it's part of the surprise."

"Fine."

You let them blindfold you and then they picked you up. After about five minutes of walking you could tell that they were slowing down and eventually stop. They set you down on your feet and removed the blindfold. You saw your friends lined up. The last person at the end looked like Jean.. holding flowers?

"Go." Connie and Sasha nudged you.

You let out a sigh and began walking down the lined up recruits eventually stopping in front of Jean.

"Y/n, will you go to the scouts ball with me?"

"Jean.. I'm sorry but.. you already know i'm going with Captain Levi."

"Has he asked you yet?"

"No."

"He should've asked you already. He shouldn't keep you waiting. Y/n, please go with me."

"Hey, what's going on here?" You heard Levi's voice and he approached everyone.

"N-nothing sir." Jean told him.

"Jean was asking Y/n to go to the scouts ball with him." Sasha said.

"Y/n come with me."

"I'm sorry Jean." You turned and walked with Levi.

"Follow me."

"Where are we going?" You asked.

"Don't ask questions just follow."

You followed Levi to the stables. He told you to wait for him outside while he got Midnight out of the pen. He came back with Midnight. "Get on." He told you. He helped me on Midnight then got on himself. You wrapped my arms around his torso as Midnight began to gallop. You rested your head on his shoulder. "Oi, don't fall asleep brat."

"I'm not going to sleep I just wanted to rest my head on your shoulder."

"We'll be there in around ten minutes."

"Alright."

Midnight stopped galloping. "This it?" You asked. "Yeah, get off." He said, getting off Midnight and landing on the grass. You did the same. You looked around and saw that there was a blanket along with a basket. "Did you set this up?"

"Mhm. I wanted to ask you something."

"Okay, what is it?"

"Do you want to go to the scouts ball?"
