"I CANT LOOK BACK WHEN THE MEMORIES LOOK LIKE THAT"

"Hey, I heard you got a call from the chiefs? everything good, they normally don't call... do they?" TK called out, looking out of the kitchen to see Carlos lying on his back placing his phone down on the table at the side of him.

"I'm relieved of my duties TK, IM BASICALLY SUSPENDED! For what I did, I did what my gut told me to do - I was always told to follow my gut, but now I've done that... I'm suspended!" Carlos whispered out a choked cry, making TK drop what he was doing, running over to check if his boyfriend was okay.

"Hey, it's going to be okay alright - nothing bad is going to happen, I promise you now once the investigation is over you'll get your job back okay" TK tried to soothe Carlos but all the emotions came out all at once for the cop.
"Hey! CARLOS! Calm down, being mad isn't going to get your job back anytime soon" TK said more in a harsher tone, noticing Carlos wasn't paying any attention to what he was saying to try and help - which annoyed him, knowing they wanted to be there for each over even in times like this.

"What if I need to do this alone TK"

"that's the thing... you don't - now calm down, you're still recovering from being shot and I don't think arguing over this and getting so stressed over being suspended is going to do your stitches any good - and I am not going back to that hospital any time soon, especially for you Carlos! Do you know how nervous I was for you!" TK cried a little trying to get Carlos to listen to him more.

"I'm sorry"
TK finally lightened his mood as he noticed Carlos had finally taken on board everything he was actually saying.
"I guess I was just so caught up with everything that I didn't realise that there's pros to this happening... I mean it wouldn't of made a difference, I'm on leave anyways because of being shot" he chuckles a fake laugh, trying to make it seem like he was okay with everything - But TK knew this laugh all too well.

"I heard that the chief of police suspended you for the act of bravery you did... but stupid in my opinion" Owen called out as he saw Carlos sitting in the station most likely waiting for TK to get off his training shift.

"I wish they saw it that way" he grumbled trying not give away his state of emotion.
"But TK told me not to worry about it, I mean I'm not even supposed to be talking to you about it let alone TK about it" Carlos chuckled before huffing, confused with his own emotions.

"Hey I'm sure it will all go fine!" Owen smiled, passing him a smoothie to hopefully cheer him up.
"You're a good cop Carlos - you have a good heart, they just don't see it" he continued, making Carlos give a small side smile.

"Yeah... I guess" huffing he turned to look at the ambulance pulling in, "at least the interview went alright" he lied.
He didn't realise that his dad would be the one interviewing him and the fact that he was acting professional - not even like his dad would act which made him even more nervous about this whole thing.

~flashback~

"Well I probably don't have to tell you this... but don't leave town, while the investigation is pending" his dad huffed gathering his note pad and pen standing up ready to leave the questioning room which his son had been placed in for the last two hours.

"Wait... his fear was real! I trusted my instincts, like you always taught me" Carlos cried out, getting up from his seat trying to stop his father from leaving - to try and get the truth out of him and how he actual felt when all this happened.

~Back to present Day~

"Oh hi Carlos, how are you feeling? Everything sorted with the chiefs" TK called out as he walked away from the ambulance stopping at the bin to empty his pockets of all the used gloves he had casually put into his pocket without realising that he had done it.

"Um. Yeah - it's all sorted, I'm pretty sure my dad officially thinks I'm a shit cop" Carlos let out a sad chuckle as he tried to remain some what calm.

"Oh Carlos... it's going to be alright" TK soothes again hugging his boyfriend extra tight knowing his father was in charge of the case that was being built against Carlos.

"It will all be over soon"
