New York ~ The Spotlight Diner

Santana laid the meals on the table before tucking the tray under her arm and heading over to where her two roommates and friends were talking. She rolled her eyes as she realised they were talking about a new Broadway musical. Like seriously, she swears that's all they talk about. So her mind wanders off from reality and to other things, eventually making it's way to Brittany. Like it always does. Because Santana really was at her happiest when she was with Brittany. And now ever since they break up, she's always had this sad part of her even when she's at her happiest. She replays their first meeting, their friendship, their relationship and their break up in her head and it always seemed to end in tears. It was painful and hard. But then Rachel ran off, snapping her back into reality. Santana raised her eyebrows as she saw the brown-headed girl head to the toilets, covering her hand with her mouth.

"Have you noticed that Rachel's been throwing up a lot recently?" Kurt asked. Santana frowned as she nibbled on her lip. She recalled several moments from the past days where Rachel had made a mad dash into the toilet.

"Yeah, I have."

"Do you think something's wrong?" he asked, evidently worried about his best friend. Santana shrugged, trying to stay calm too. Rachel was annoying, controlling, self-absorbed and more but she had really helped Santana settle into New York. They had been growing closer and kinda were friends. So yeah, Santana was worried about Rachel. What if she was really ill? Or what if she was? She didn't even want to finish that sentence. A baby wouldn't be good. And oh god what if the baby was Brody's? She really had such a bad feeling about him. Taking a deep breath, she followed her kinda friend into the toilet. She saw Rachel leaning at a sink and splashing water on her face.

"You okay?" Santana asked.

"Yeah, I think I just got a bit of a bug. I'll be fine though."

"Are you sure it's just a bug? You know I won't judge or anything." Rachel inhaled as she gripped tightly onto the sink.

"I'm sure. I'm okay. Just leave it alone, kay?" she said in a strained voice as she walked past Santana and out of the bathroom. Santana pursed her lips as she glanced where Rachel had just been standing. She certainly didn't sound sure and that worried her.

Ohio ~ Blaine's house

Blaine sighed as he reached over to grab a picture he had of him and Kurt. It was taken the previous summer when they were still together and Kurt hadn't abandoned him for New York. Yes, Blaine had told him to go to New York but after that, that's all Kurt cared about. His new life in New York. He didn't give a crap about Blaine or what was happening in his life. He was moving on and leaving Blaine behind. But that still didn't excuse what he'd done next. Sleeping with Eli was the biggest and worst decision of his life. Sam said that it didn't make him a bad person. But he couldn't help but feel awful. He'd hurt the love of his life and now he'd lost him forever. Blaine reflected on the moment this photo had been taken. They'd been so happy and in love with promises of growing old together and always loving each other. Then a few months later, it had all been destroyed. Because of him. So yeah, it was really hard to not feel bad.

"Dude, are you okay?" Blaine glanced up to see that his best friend, Sam, had entered the room. Blaine nodded with what he hoped was a reassuring smile and accepted the bowl of crisps Sam was holding.

"Well, you don't seem okay, bro. You're looking at that picture with a really sad, regretful expression. You're kinda killing my vibe. What is a picture of anyway?" Blaine held it protectively to his chest, knowing that Sam wouldn't understand or approve. But he didn't need the picture anyway. Sam knew exactly what that expression was saved for. Kurt.
