Aurelia was having her 11th birthday November 8th, so she had a while to wait, but today was the day she was finally going to Hogwarts.

Her eyes opened slowly at the sunrise and a smile grew on her face. "I'm going to Hogwarts!! Mum, dad it's September!" she shouted and ran down the stairs in joy.

Aurea got ready for the day her life would change and gathered her things. The family were apparating to the platform to meet her cousin Draco and the Malfoys. She was very unalike her family, she was a kind and sweet girl, the kind to offer her seat to even normal people, but the rest of the family would tell them to sod off. Draco was in the middle. He'd resist for a while, but then give up. He was odd.

When they'd apparated her mum and dad set off for the Malfoys, while Aurea looked around the platform. "Aurea!" she heard a familiar voice from behind her.

"Draco!" she shouted back and waved to her parents before getting on the train with her older cousin. They found a compartment with his friends, Crabbe, Goyle, and Blaise. They were nice, but sometimes too nice.
"Hey Rori, sit with us baby" Crabbe called out. Rori gagged and walked off to another compartment. I'd felt like it'd been hours, but only minutes I had been looking, but I found one with a couple of 11 year old boys in there.

"Sorry, can I sit here?" I asked, trying not to show I'm a Slytherin. Literally a Slytherin.

"Uh sure. I'm Harry, Harry Potter." I smiled and our hazel and green eyes met the others.

"I'm Ron, by the way, Ron Weasley." he said, smiling genuinely.

"I-I'm Aurelia Slytherin, but you can call me Rori.." I said regretting the fact that I told them I'm a Slytherin descendant. Ron's eyes widened and I looked down.

"You're telling me THE Aurelia Rosemary Slytherin wants to be my friend? Aurelia Rosemary Slytherin the last Slytherin descendant from the books?!" he said, overly surprised.

I giggled to myself and replied, "Yes, THE Aurelia Rosemary. But- why aren't you mad, or scared? My great-great grandfather is Salazar Slytherin!

"You're not like him. I can tell." Harry said. I didn't think he knew much about the wizarding world. I'm a mind reader and parseltongue by the way. He read the books probably. I smiled at him and sat down.

We finally arrived, and a couple minutes after I sat down, I made a new friend. Hermione Granger. She was looking for a boy called Neville's toad.

"Firs' years this way! Firs' years this way!' I heard a man, whose name was Hagrid, shout from the lake. "Oh hello 'arry."
"Hi Hagrid."
"woah.." Ron gasped from beside me.
The max was 4 to a boat and I went with Harry, Ron, and a new friend called Dean.

I looked up at the sky and saw an Andromenda constellation. I'd read about the black sisters. I'm related to them. Ugh.

We finally reached the castle and the doors opened to a dark, but fantasylike room, with steps either side. I looked up and saw more steps! There must've been about 6 floors atleast. I walked up the steps with everyone else and saw an old, but definitely beautiful woman in green standing at the top.

"I am Professor McGonagall. When I open this doors," she gestured to the large doors behind her. "you shall be sorted into your houses. They are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin" me and Draco smirked at eachother for Slytherin. We knew we'd get in. I'm a bloody Slytherin for merlin's sake!

"Well, well it looks like Harry Potter and Aurelia Slytherin have come to Hogwarts." Gasps filled the stairs as I rolled my eyes to my cousin's point-outs. He already knew I was here for crying out loud. "I'm Malfoy, Draco Malfoy." Ron laughed. Oh no. Oh no no no. "Think my name's funny do you? No need to ask yours. Red hair, and a hand me down robe? You must be a Weasley" Ron made a regretful look. "You'll soon find that some wizarding families are better than others, Potter, Slytherin. I can help you there." he said, putting his hand out.

"I think I can tell the wrong sort for myself fanks." Harry said, pushing his hand away. I just tilted my head to McGonagall behind Draco hoping he'd get the hint.

"Come with me." she said and we followed her into The Great Hall.

"It's not really the night sky, it's just bewitched to look like it. I read about that in Hogwarts: A History." I know she's my friend, but Hermione is quite annoying sometimes.

We stopped at the front of the Hall infront of the steps. "When I call your name, you shall come forth to get sorted."

"Abbot, Hannah"

She shouted many more names until it finally got to SL.

"Slytherin, Aurelia." I gulped and hesitantly walked up and sat on the stool.

"Tricky one, this is. Hmm. Courage, yes lots of courage. But cunning and determined. We need a double test." I made a confused expression and McGonagall took the hat off my head. "Come with me." she said, and I followed.

"What is a double test?" I asked, but she didn't tell me.

"You are one of the first to have a double test, Miss Slytherin. She took me to a room where I saw an animal, wait no, it was a basilisk. My heart beated faster and faster at the sight of the thing.

"Your great-greatgrandpa created this, along with the Chamber of Secrets when he was just 18. Don't worry, it can't hurt you." she had her eyes closed and muttered a spell, I think, Then she opened your eyes. "You have to survive." she said, and with that she siad nothing else, and left me with a spellbook and a diary.

I screamed, but nobody could help.
