As we run through the woods we hear the steps behind us.
"Come on, we're a-almost there!" Pairo yells while gasping for air. I look back and see were still being chased.
"AHHH" I yell as the brown haired boy is ripped from my hands...

I see the sun has started rising, like planned I make my way to the dock so I can get on the ship to the hunters exam. I put on my cloak and make sure it covers most of my face. I see a crowd of people and the ship, "Excuse me, pardon me." I say, slowly making my way through the crowd of people.
I get on the ship and walk towards the bow, taking in the sea smell and feeling the cool ocean breeze. I grab onto the hood of my cloak making sure it doesn't fall off. As I turn around I see that one of the crew mates of the ship is having a rough time, so I head over to help him out. As I get there I see a little green haired boy. 'Who let a little kid come to the hunters exam?' I thought to myself.
He looked up at me and smiled, "Hello, I'm Gon!" He seems very energetic, it's quite a pleasant feeling since you have been alone for a while. "I'm (Y/n), it's nice to meet you Gon." "Yea you too (Y/n)." He then quickly makes his way to the mainmast of the ship. As he comes down he walks over to the captain. "There's going to be a storm." That being said I head inside to where I assume the others went.
After arriving in the room with everyone else I look around, nothing out of the ordinary until I see a boy wearing what seems to be a....traditional Kurta outfit? I shake my head, 'Probably got it after that day.' I thought to myself. As I sit down along the wall of the cabin I start to zone out.
I see the never ending darkness of the woods with the slight red from the fire behind me, the vivid smell of blood fills your nose. You remember running hand in hand with your best friend Pairo. He always treated you like a sister when your brother wasn't around.

"AHHH" I yell as the brown haired boy is ripped from my hands. Tears stream down my face as I see him slowly fade from my view.
'Just keep going' I think to myself while running, I hope my brother is safe. He was sent away a while ago on an adventure or something like that.
All I could smell was fire and slight hints of Iron from blood. I could hear running from behind us, slowly closing in. I feel like im gonna collapse but if I do, I'm dead for sure. 'Just keep going' you think to yourself while panting.
"Shes to fast" I hear someone yell behind me, "Just leave her, she won't be able to survive on her own anyways." Another said, I kept running incase it was a trick and I managed to get on a boat heading to a place called "Whale island" this is where my new life will begin. [Look familiar?]
After a while you hear someone calling your name. "(Y/n), are you feeling alright?" Gon asked. "O-oh, I'm fine I assure you." I state to the boy. "Great, let's go then!" He exclaims. I follow the boy and see that there's 2 others with us. A tall man probably in his 20s to early 30s and the blonde boy from earlier.
"So, why do all of you want to be hunters?" The captain says. The blonde and the taller man do not wish to tell him why, Gon on the other hand heald no objections. "I want to find my dad!" He says, such a pure soul. I smile slightly. "What about you?" The captain looks at me, I clear my throat "I wish to avenge my friends and family, though I would like to keep my identity secret for now." I answer in a calm tone, the captain just nods. He then pulls out a walkie talkie, "Tell them we have 2 more drop outs." He says, grabbing the blonde and the tall man's attention.
"I want to be a hunter for the money!" The taller one says, I found that a bit unreasonable but to each their own. "I seek revenge." The blonde growled out. "Revenge?" The captain asked. "Several years ago, my clan was murdered for the color of our eyes. I want to make the ones who did this pay!" He states. 'It can't be, can it?' I think to myself, not noticing I'm staring at him. I stop listening to their conversation after I learn the blonde is names Kurapika and the taller man is Leorio.
'There's no way he's my brother, he's dead and they don't look all that alike.' I think to myself. I'm snapped out of thought as I hear leorio disrespect the Kurta clan. Out of rage and turn and elbow his side. "WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!" He yelled. "You have no place to disrespect the people he wishes to fight for!" I yell to him, thank god my eyes are covered because they are definitely red. "At lease he has a reason other than just for money, he has people he wants to fight for. DON'T DISRESPECT SOMETHING YOU CLEARLY KNOW NOTHING ABOUT!" A few tears stream down my face at this point as I take a few breaths and collect myself. "I apologize for the outburst but I will not take back what I said." I state bluntly.
"And how do you know about the Kurta clan?" Kurapika asks. Just before I answer Leorio tells Kurapika to meet him outside so they storm off, not long after the storm Gon warned us about starts up. We all rush outside and start grabbing the ropes for the sails. The tie on my cloak comes undone revealing my Traditional kurta outfit.
[This style but I think the main color can be whatever you want. Also yes Google did say this is Kurapikas mom so this is very fitting]

I keep pulling at the ropes when I see Gon basically jump off the ship. I run in that direction and see Kurapika and Leorio grabbing Gon. I do the same and grab both of Gons ankles and help them pull him up. I can feel Kurapikas glance but I ignore it, not wanting to show anything more about myself. After we get the crew mate back on the ship things seem to calm down.
I look down and see my outfit is soaked and has dirt on it now, I go over to the door and back into the cabin to try and clean it off. I find a cloth and start wiping off my outfit when I hear footsteps behind me, I turn around and see Kurapika.
"Who are you truly?" He says in his normal monotone voice, though this time it feels darker. I sigh "I am (Y/n), that's all you truly need to know right now. We both have our secrets Kurapika, Please respect mine." I say to him. He let's out a sigh of disapproval then walks out. I join the others after finding a sheet and rope, using that as a cloak.
"Why are you wearing that?" Leorio asked. "I wish to cover myself." I respond. "What happened to your cloak?" Gon asked. "Flew off sometime while the storm happened." I said, "We will get you another one at some point." Kurapika said. I just nod to him.
