Mark- You guys were having an argument because you caught him cheating. You were packing up all your stuff and getting ready to leave your shared apartment when he reached for you and instead of falling into his embrace like you normally would you flinched.
"Y/n?" He asked with his hand still in the air.
"Do you seriously think I'd hurt you?"
You walked past him without answering.
"Leave it alone Sloan." You replied before grabbing your car keys and walking to the door. He followed you immediately and this time when he grabbed your arm he made a slow move instead of a fast one.
"Seriously you can't even say my first name?"
"Goodbye Mark." You said before walking out to your car.
Derek- You were on his service for the day and you had messed up on something that he told you how to do and now he was at your apartment and you were having a screaming match. "Y/n! I told you how to do it! That patient is paralyzed because of you!"
"Derek! You think I don't know that! I could lose my medical license before I even become a resident! Believe me I know what I did! I know I messed up!" He quickly raised his hands to his face and you thought he was going to do something so when you flinched and covered your face with your arms he was taken back.
"Y/n?" He said softly.
"I'm not gonna hit you."
"I think you should leave Derek. I'll call you in
the morning." You told him before basically pushing him out the door. That night he went home terrified that you thought he would hurt you.
Andrew- He was mad at you because you stole a case from right under him after he was assigned to it. You were filling out a chart when he pulled you into an on call room. You didn't realize that he pulled you into the on call room to talk so when you kissed him and he pulled away you were confused.
"We need to talk y/n." He said placing his hands on your shoulders to distance you from him.
"Oh my God, seriously! Your still mad about the case!"
"Yes I am! It was my case!"
"Well it's not my fault that I needed more time on Peds!" You protested. He raised his hands and you flinched and turned your head to the side shutting your eyes tight.
"Y/n?" He asked. When you didn't feel a hard impact against your cheek you looked back at him and opened your eyes.
"I'm not gonna hurt you. I would never hurt you." You stared at him in shock. You knew he would never hurt you but yet you still flinched, because you had been hurt in the past. He didn't know that. After you said nothing he sat you down on a bed and pulled you into his side.
"Do you want talk about it?" He asked.
You just shook your head no and held him closer.
"Okay, I've got you." He said holding you tight and placing a kiss on your head.
Jackson- You had a miscarriage and you blamed yourself so you guys were arguing because he said it wasn't your fault.
"Jackson it's my body! I was supposed to protect that baby with everything in me and yet she still died!" You yelled at him.
"Oh my God! For the last time y/n! This was not your fault!" He said before quickly raising his hands to his face. You flinched and ran to the bathroom. You locked yourself in the bathroom and sat on the the tub. You saw the door handle jiggle a couple times before hearing "Come on y/n! Open the door!"
"Jackson go away!"
"I'd never hurt you! I'm sorry!"
"Jackson. Go. Away."
You kept telling him to leave over and over but he never did. He sat against the door all night
Owen- You were fighting because you didn't want kids, and he did. "Y/n can't we compromise please?"
"Owen I'm sorry I don't wanna be a mother."
He sighed and brought his hands up to his face and you flinched.
"Y/n? I'm sorry! I didn't mean to!"
"Owen, you chocked me because of a fan." You said before putting your stuff in a duffel bag.
"Y/n, you know that I would never hurt you on purpose." You ignored him.
"What are you doing?" He asked when he saw you packing a bag.
"I think we need a break." You said before walking out the door to your car.
Link- You were hanging out with you best friend Link and just watching a movie when he brought up your boyfriend.
"Y/n you know how I feel about him!"
"Link! He accidentally hit me once! You don't have to worry about it!" You protested.
"Yeah. Okay!" He said before throwing his hands in the air. You flinched and he looked at you.
"Y/n?" You turned your head to face him.
"Was it an accident?" You shook your head with tears running down your face. He pulled you towards him. "I'm never going to let him hurt you again." He said before kissing your hand. He never did let him hurt you again. He made you move in with him and not long after you guys got together.
Alex- You got into a fight because you both disagreed on how to do a surgery. You both were waiting for the ct to finish when you started yelling at each other.
"I'm telling you y/n! My way is right!"
"No it isn't!"
"Yes it is!" He said before raising his hands up.
You flinched and he immediately knew what he did.
"Y/n I'm so sorry." He said placing a hand on your shoulder. You didn't say anything you just hugged him tight.
"I know what's it like." He whispered into your neck.
