Osana's POV
"W-what? H-he took pictures of my panties on his phone?!"
I couldn't believe what I was hearing. But so many people heard the counselor yelling at him that it must be true. I couldn't believe that of all people, my childhood friend would do this to me.
"Maybe you should find someone else," Raibaru said. Obviously she was talking about my cover. But I had to talk to Taro first.
"Osana!" he exclaimed running up to me. "I'm so sorry! Someone stole my phone and left it on my desk. It was them, not me. I promise. You can ask Ayano, she said she saw someone leave my phone on the desk."
"Oh...but what about the panty shots in the book?"
"You can ask Ayano about that too. There was nothing."
With that, I did go to ask Ayano. But she had a different story.
"I'm so sorry I didn't tell you Osana. But there were panty shots in the book. I was so embarrassed to be bring them back to him that I told a friend who I thought I could trust. And his phone was never on his desk when I saw him this morning."
And just like that, my heart broke. Someone here was lying. My brain was saying it was Ayano but my heart was saying it was Taro.
I didn't even realize I was crying until I felt Ayano wipe a tear from my face.
"It's okay. Everything will clear up eventually. Do you need a hug?" she asked.
Without any hesitation, I threw myself into her arms. It felt so right. She made everything in the moment fade away and it was just me and her. Nothing else mattered. No one else mattered. I knew now that I had to keep Taro away from her. She's meant to be mine. She's my soulmate.
