"Ayano! Guess what!" Osana called.
It'd been seven years since Ayano and Osana had first gotten together. They moved in together right after graduating from Akademi.
"What is it?" Ayano asked.
"Japan just legalized gay marriage! We can get married now!"
"Wait, really?!"
"Yeah! Look!"
Osana pointed to the TV where the news was on. The headline on the screen confirmed that what Osana was saying was true.
A sudden thought came to Ayano's mind. She went and bought some hanakotobas and an engagement ring and came home before Osana could even notice she left.
"Osana?"
"Sorry! I was telling my family about the news."
Osana turned around to see Ayano down on one knee with the flowers and the most beautiful ring she'd ever seen.
"Oh my God!" Osana gasped.
"Osana, will you marry me?" Ayano asked.
"YES!"
Osana threw herself into Ayano's arms. They started laughing out of excitement and shared a soft, delicate, giggly kiss. Ayano put the ring on Osana's finger and proceeded to kiss her again.
"Time to spend the rest of our lives together," Ayano said.
"I love you Ayano."
"I love you too Osana."
