six

It's 9:47 at night and I am now laying in my bed, thinking about the events of today. I really am such an embarrassment. It's great that Zach is such a nice easy going person or else, he would've stopped talking to me far long ago. I'm lucky to have such great friends like Zach and Demi. Oh shoot. I almost forgot to contact Demi. I reach for my phone beside me and decide to call her.

After two rings, she answers.

"Hey girl, what's going on? Tell me everything!"

I sigh and answer back.

"I'm not going to give you all the details. It'll just be a long story, short kind of thing but uh, the cops let Zach go and let him off with a warning, as to Erik, well he's in jail now.."

Demi starts cheering from the other end.

"I'm so sorry, but that's what he gets for hurting my best friend! Oo the school is going to be buzzing tomorrow!"

That's true. This city isn't so big so news travels really fast here.

"We'll see haha." I say.

"Keep going Stella!"
An impatient Demi replies.

"Okay, okay, so I helped Zach clean his house and I spent the night and-"
Demi interrupts me,

"You slept with him?! ugh, you're so lucky, he's got the looks of a god, you're going to have cute babies trust me!"

"No, no I didn't have sex with him!" I say laughing.

"Anyways.."
I continue on speaking and she listens.

"I felt bad so I promised him a day out. So I decided on going bowling after I had been forced to have my brother tag along with us. I spilled my strawberry shake on his crotch and we both ended up saying we like each other."
I say all a little way too fast.

"Stella Marie, I can't believe this! That is so cute! You guys would be perfect together." She says.

"I guess, but I am still with Erik and now it's kind of hard to talk to him, or possibly break up with him..the boys crazy, what if he tries to murder me if I dump him?"

My mind starts exploding with all these intense questions that I know can't be answered right now.

"Stella, it'll all be okay. Try not to worry so much about Erik. And hey, I'm gonna go to bed. I've had a long day helping out Maddie with her pageant show stuff. See you tomorrow morning! Love you!"

"Love you too!"

And we hang up. My mind is still furiously racing but I eventually manage to get myself to fall asleep.

It's the next morning and I am making my way to the entrance of the school with Demi by my side. I only have to take three classes everyday now to achieve all my credits and graduate. That is english, math, and economics. Demi and Zach all run on the same schedule as I do. We start school at 8:30 and get out at 11:30. Before, I would usually have to wait until 12 for Erik, since he had four classes, but not anymore. I have heard nothing about him lately and I've been trying not to let him or anything of his life control me in any way, shape, or form possible.

The last bell rang for me and I began to dart my way out of the building. I was going towards my car until I got stopped by a familiar looking girl. It was fake Barbie, the girl Erik had left me for before he found me and the whole fight arose.

"It's all your fault that he's in jail!"
She yelped.

"Um no, he got himself into that trouble."
I said back calmly.
