After sitting in the waiting room for twenty minutes, which felt like hours, the nurse opened the door. She waved her hand at Reiner, signaling him to come over. He jumped up to his feet, quickly walking over to the room.

"She is alright. The girl seems to have had a previous injury to her rib, and whatever she had just done now caused it to reopen. She will be on bed rest for about 5 weeks due to its level of injury. She must of really gotten hurt before, do you know from what?" The nurse asked, fixing her long robe.

Reiner began to remember the fire back on Paradis Island. That is when you acquired a serious rib injury.

"It must of been when she got caught in the crossfire." Reiner said, repeating the lie that was frequently told. He walked over and sat on the foot of your bed. His hand lay on your calf, gripping it softly. Your e/c eyes slowly opened.

"Reiner? What happened?" You asked, rubbing your stomach. Your sides felt heavy but painless. "Why doesn't it hurt?"

"She gave you medicine, and I'm not really sure what happened. Do you feel okay?" He rubbed your leg up and down, looking at your drained face.

"I feel fine, which is weird. Usually back in-" You quickly stopped your sentence. Your eyes fell onto the nurse, than dropped to the ground.

"Well, Aloisa, you will be on bed rest for a while. I will bring you meals every day and anything else you need." She smiled, waving a goodbye and exiting the room.

"That was a close one." Reiner giggled, scooting closer to you. He kissed your forehead a few times before grabbing your hand. "And stop scaring me like that. Not trying to lose you again."

"Right, it's totally not like you left me." You sneered, sticking your nose in the air.

"Come on, I apologized already." He puffed out his bottom lip. Reiner adjusted himself so now he was sitting right next to you on the bed. He took your head and placed it on his chest.

"Reiner, what am I going to do? I just keep failing at my initial job. My emotions have taken over me, and I can't even imagine hurting some of these people." You sighed heavily, your ribs shifting over one another.

"You can just stay here with me, princess. Please don't go." He pouted, resting his chin on your head.

"Reiner, I have to go back."

"They probably think you're dead anyways." He scoffed.

You rose your head and pushed him off of you. "Stop. Plus, I want to visit Erwin's grave." You mumbled, your words drifting off into the quiet air. The room remained silent as the two of you looked at the ground. Reiner let out a sigh before sitting on the chair that stood near your bed. He rested his face on his fist, looking out the large window. The window took hold of the beautiful land. There was a medium sized, open, area that had a small fountain in the middle. The fountain was surrounded by rocks and stone paths that led to many buildings. People walked around outside talking with one another.

You were yet again set free from the infirmary. Your injury had healed quickly with the advanced medicine Marley had. You slipped on your uniform and walked out onto the soft land. It felt so good to finally be out into the open air again. The wind blew through your h/c hair, wiping it around. After taking a deep breath of the fresh air, you made your way back to headquarters. Your pace was slow and weak as you haven't been moving around for the past three weeks. It took you a lot longer than you had anticipated, causing you to feel angry.

"Come on stupid legs! It's not like I hurt you, get moving!" You shouted at your legs, punching your thighs repeatedly. This seemed to give them a little kick, and they started to move faster. Your pace was now a little less average than normal. As your feet dragged, you approached the head quarters door. Another deep breath filled your lungs, opening the large wooden doors.
