A/N : Guys, do listen the song above not just because it goes with the chapter. Because it's actually very good. It has been released recently and I'm already addicted to it.

Mishka's POV

Pitter-Patter. Pitter-Patter.

Water is pouring down the sky, covering the place in a thick curtain of water, soaking the trees and alluring others to their beauty. It's rhythmic sounds breaking the silence of the dusk like a thousand symphonies exploding.

It's raining. And my mood started plummeting.

I'm sitting on a couch near my window with my eyes fixed to the outside through the misty glass as they encounter sway of the trees, and the shiver of the leaves as the cool breeze caress them softly with their touch and the effacement of stars by the full-bellied clouds.

Raindrops like diamonds cascading down the sky. For some, it's a drop of happiness, for others, a drop of madness and for me, a drop of desolation. Raindrops on the window pane is taking my heart to places I wish I could wipe off from my mind.

Sadness is coursing throughout my body as the nostalgia hit me hard. But I'm not crying. No. Instead, the sky is doing that for me, by shedding his own and weaving my heart by breaking his own.

It's calming yet storming.

I have found something incredibly special in these rains. Sometimes they wash away all my scars and other times rejuvenate the wounds left untouched.

I sighed and closed my eyes to simply embrace the moment as the sound of gentle tapping on the window enraptures me. It's a harmonic sound, a melody. It's a whole new genre by itself. So peaceful.

But soon it got replaced by a certain lilt. I felt being lulled by that distinct rhythm. It wasn't of the sound made by the crickets nor the soft drumming of the drizzle. It was nothing like that. It was a rhythm that kept me lying in the bed and blinking away tears at random times when I hear it as it travels into my ears with memories too sweet to forget.

My heart smiled and soul stirred.

It's a voice that's soft and gentle. Something almost too shy of a whisper but loud enough to wrap itself around my lungs and make its way into my veins. But it has a different essence to it. It's deep, husky and soothing.
It's a voice I hear in my heart that had it soaring throughout my chest.

It's his voice.

Synchronizing with the gentle tapping on the window. I felt his voice in every droplet that touched the glass, like his loving words and fluency with our hearts, I even felt it in the way the cold air caressed my skin

I kept remembering the rhythm of his voice now getting blurry by long distance memory. It happened in quite a long time ago. It's becoming too faint to soon would become only an echo like there in a cave too dark to step into.

My eyelids flew open and eyes instantly drifted to the outside. Raising my hands from my kneecap, I placed it against the windowpane when I saw two people standing.

Him and I.

Drenched in rain, soaking in love.

My head is bowed down as my face is embellished with a deep blush and a shy smile is dancing on my lips. His calloused palms cupping my cheeks, radiating off heat amidst fresh and crisp ambience. Hesitantly, I looked up and espied a full blown smile on his face, as my heart skipped miles.

Our first kiss.

I remember it like yesterday. It felt like fire and ice enterwined. I reminisce our first kiss. How it made my head spin and livened my heart. The way I tip-toed, reaching for him, moving closer and closer to him, in his arms, where I belonged. He leaned for another one and I gave in as my mind didn't listen and heart didn't bother. We kissed for like eternity before pulling apart. Our forehead rested against each other and that blissful smile never escaped our lips. We simultaneously opened our eyes. Light brown clashing with charcoal orbs. And I giggled, hugging him tight.
