Everything was spinning. Sounds, colors, the light, everything was blending together into one. I need to get out of here

I need to get out of here.

I have to get out of here.

Shay, where's shay?

"Shay, are you still here?" I whispered. I couldn't see anything, I could barely feel anything- last time I checked I was still holding her leash, but I had no idea if I still was.

A wet nose met mine, and I sighed in relief.

"We h-have to get out of here- back to our apartment.. I cant see anything though. I think I'm going to die."

I felt something tug my hand, meaning the leash was still in my hand. Maybe Shay was trying to bring me back to the apartment? She knew what apartment meant.. I shakily got up from the middle of the field and let the leash guide me. We slowly walked together, me having to take breaks every 10 seconds because I swore I was going to trip. Things were going well until Shay led me into the gate, and I smacked right into it.

"HOLY CRAP!!" I shrieked, sliding to the ground. The leash stopped pulling and a few seconds later I felt her tongue licking my face. It felt nice at first, knowing I wasn't alone in my final moments, but soon it became too much for me and I pushed her away. Hot tears began streaming down my face as I crumpled further into the gate. I couldn't feel anything anymore, my ears were ringing, my vision was swirling with different colors, and my head was throbbing. The heat was making everything 10 times worse. I barely had enough time to process what was happing, but I knew for sure that I probably wouldn't wake up once I fell asleep. I reached my hand out to pet Shay one last time, my hand trembling with fear.

And then there was nothing.

The first thing I noticed was that I was on a couch, my couch, not the ground. Then it hit me. A blinding headache struck me like a bolt of lighting, and I whimpered in pain. Footsteps rushed over to me, footsteps that could only be Ryan's.

Ryan. Ryan must have saved me.

"Ry?" I mumble, reaching up to touch his face. He grabs my hand in his and sets it back down on the couch.

"What happened to you? I mean, I just found you in a random field with dead sheep surrounding you. I only heard you because of Shay, if she had stopped barking, you would've of..." His voice trailed off, but it sounded almost forced.

"My head.."

"What about your head?"

"It hurts, It hurts so bad" I sniffle, feeling the tears come down my face again. Ryan brings his hand up to my face and wipes my tears with his sleeve, a sad smile forming on his face

"I'll be right back." He finally says. Before I could say anything, he was gone.

A few minutes later he reappeared from his room, this time with a pill in his hand. He comes over with some water and hands the pill to me.

"Take it, it will help your headache."

I thought the Advil was blue? Why is it purple?
It must just be my head.

Ryan helps me sit up, his hand on my side to keep me from falling off the couch. I reluctantly take the pill and lay back down. We sit there in silence, I was waiting for my headache to get better but nothing was happening. In fact, it was starting to hurt even worse.

"How much grass did the sheep give you?" Ryan asks.

How did he know what happened?

"How... how did you know the sheep gave me grass?" I questioned, turning over a bit to see his face.

His face grew pale, his expression looked terrified. Had I said something wrong?

"What do you mean? I didn't say anything about sheep?" He spit out, every so slightly turning away from me.

"You did, you just s-"

"When was the last time you slept? You should probably take a nap, yeah, you should probably take a nap. I need to use the bathroom anyways."

"Wait, Ry, I'm sorr-"

And just like that he was gone again. I was all alone. My head hurt far too much to just go to sleep, so I stared at the ceiling, counting the amount of cracks I could see.
