"Why did you have to call them? Couldn't you wait for me to call them first?" Cairo's tone turned serious as he asked Lyra.
"But Cairo!" Lyra began, incredulous at him. "I was worried! Concerned. You were hit! Of course, I have to tell them right away too because they're your family. It is only proper that they should be informed right away."
Cairo thought about that for a minute.
He let the conversation drop.
"But, yeah... thanks a lot Ly" his face breaking into a small smile at her.
"No prob, Cai," Lyra grinned back at him.
Peaceful silence hung around them for a while before Lyra spoke again.
"You know, Cai, I'm really thankful I called you up at the right time, 'coz who knows what might have happened to you if I didn't..." Lyra trailed off. "My chest felt so tight all of a sudden, I could hardly breathe--I thought I was having a heart attack. Then you crossed my mind and I became so worried about you... I got a bad feeling, so I called you..."
