There were times when Cairo did not see Lyra virtually. This was because she couldn't hang out with them online because she was busy with work. Unlike Cairo, whose school was already done with the school year, her school still had two months of online classes to go.
The pandemic gave Cairo more time to do his first love--writing.
He wrote poetry every now and then. Short stories and flash fiction sometimes.
At one time, he wrote the following free verse poem:
you and I
is only just a dreamwithin a dream
I look forward to
sleeping every nightand seeing you
every dayafter all these.

He was not sure if there is anyone who read them at all. He was certain his barkada didn't.
Of course, Lyra didn't.
Not at all.
He posted several poems already and he was sure she had not read one of them. Had not known his blog.
She had never mentioned the blog or any single one of his poems to him.
There, he was free to express his thoughts and feelings.
Feelings that he confusingly started to have for her.
