It was also a known fact that Hashirama was always the first to apologize after a fight, not about his reasoning nor his words, but about how he had all but thrown a tantrum. When they were both calm and with their minds cleared they settled down in front of the dinner Hashirama had made and calmly explained what they had wanted to say.
Madara usually forgave first, beckoning Hashirama on the sofa and starting an impressive cuddling session. At that point Hashirama usually apologized for everything, even when he had been right all along, and Madara just rolled his eyes landing a kiss on his boyfriend's hair.
Madara rarely apologized but every time he actually did Hashirama cherished the feeling and the truth in his words.
