the crowd cheered as the football teams played. the rain was heavy.

the cheerleaders did their cheers. clarity had her pom poms in her hands as she cheered. "defense! defense!"

"now entering the game, number 24, jordan kent," the announcer said. clarity smiled as she continued to cheer. she was upset that she couldn't watch, she wanted to be able to watch jordan and jonathan do their thing.

she couldn't exactly do that while facing the people in the stands. she knew what she was going to do. after this game, she was going to quit cheer. it would make lana mad, but it she didn't really care.

after the game, clarity ran straight to jordan and hugged him, "congrats kent!" "i thought you said you'd be in the stands," jordan asked, looking the girl up and down.

her uniform was drenched in water now at this point. clarity didn't really care, "i am, well, i will be. you should go get changed mister all american." "are you going to the after party this," jonathan asked, jumping into the two teen's conversation. clarity nodded, "i'm going. jack and sarah are going too. they're up in the stands. oh, jack's bringing his new girlfriend too. i hear she's sweet."

"we'll see you," jonathan stated, pulling jordan away from the girl.

"here comes the cover of madden 21!" the team cheered as jordan walked through the diner door. he looked tiny compared to everyone. when he made his way farther into the diner, clarity jumped at the chance to hug him, "again congrats!" "thanks clarity," jordan smiled. everyone crowded around jordan, which meant that both teens hugging were forced to stand too close to each other.

clarity sat down in the last booth, she sat near the window and jordan sat next to her. clarity still had her cheer outfit on. a couple of the football players talked with jordan.

"so miss cheerleader, how'd you enjoy the game?" one of the boy was smirking over at clarity. she smiled slightly, "i didn't get to watch much, i wish i could've. i was excited to see jordan and jon play. next time i'll get to watch you guys though," she said, looking over at jordan.

jordan nodded as he smiled sheepishly, "she's quitting." "yeah, i'll get to sit with jack, sarah, and jack's new girlfriend," clarity smiled. the football player nodded, "oh so are you guys like related or family friends?" "no, well, we met when we were eight, but never kept in touch. jordan and jonathan's grandma use to watch me when i was younger."

the boys talked some more until wellnitz started something with tag. jonathan tried to defuse the situation. after all he was the closest and most caring.

"poor tag, i wish he could play with you guys," clarity commented. the football player shrugged, "his arms broken, he shouldn't be talking." "well it's not his fault that his arm is broken. things happen, it's no ones fault," clarity stated, glaring at the boy. he only shrugged.

jordan nudged the girl and smiled slightly, "you want something to drink?" "um, sure. coffee would be great. six sugars and six creams."
