HARVEST FEST
clarity was currently walking around the harvest fest with jack, they were only 10 and 11 but their parents knew nothing would happen to them.
"we should go visit your dad," jack said. clarity nodded as she bit into her churro, "yeah! come on, i'm sure he'll love it!" "wait, hold on, i don't want to drop my churro," jack exclaimed.
the two quickly, but carefully made their way over to clarity's dad's stand. he was selling meat at his stand. "hi, dad," clarity chirped. her dad smiled, "clarity! jack! did you two come visit me?" "can i have a chicken shish kebab," jack asked. clarity's dad nodded, "clarity, do you want any?"
she shook her head, "no, thank you!" "you two run along now," mr. diaz said as he handed jack his shish kebab. jack smiled, "thank you!"
as they walked, jack held it out to clarity, "you can have a bite, i don't mind." "no, it's okay. i want funnel cake," clarity frowned. jack smiled, "well let's go get some!"
the two ran around, until they both had finally gotten their funnel cake. they sat at a table, eating and talking. "did you ever decide if you were gonna do the talent show," jack asked, leaning his chin down on the table.
clarity nodded, "i think i wanna sing, but i don't wanna do it alone." "i'll sing with you," jack quickly said, shoving funnel cake in his mouth. clarity smiled, "then we have to agree on a song and i'm not singing a song from that band you like."
"i don't even really like them. my dad used to and he's trying to get me into them," jack stated.
clarity rolled her eyes, "we can talk about it later." "sure," jack smiled. the two kids continued to eat and talk.
"hey you two!" "martha," both clarity and jack cheered, jumping up to hug the older lady. "hi," martha smiled. clarity smiled, "martha, jack and i are gonna join our school's talent show together." "and what do you two plan on doing," martha asked, sitting down.
"we're gonna sing," jack said. he shoved more funnel cake in his mouth. he was almost done with his too. clarity pulled some of her funnel cake and placed it on jack's plate.
martha smiled, "you two are so cute." "jack's kinda ugly though," clarity mumbled. jack frowned, "and i was gonna call you pretty." "you still can," clarity smiled.

wow okay this was a really short mini chapter. i'm so sorry i haven't been able to post but i'm working on the chapters mows. with summer break finally being here i was expecting free time but i've been so busy. i should have time to catch up soon though.
