30~ The Other Side

~SEVENTEEN'S POV

"What the hell Mingyu?! You had just one job, ONE! And you failed to do that? It was simple, just shoot Aera or kidnap her. You couldn't do either."  S.Coups, the leader of Seventeen was lashing out on his fellow member.

Outraged by the failure caused by his member, he proceeded to plan another strategy against NCT. He was determined to destroy them. As they say hate binds you; Seventeen was blinded by the hate and they will not hesitate to stoop low and play dirty. 

"What's the latest news about them?" the leader asked his members. "N-nothing" DK said while stuttering. The members hung their head down in shame. They had no updates about NCT. They flinched when the leader flipped the table in anger.

"What the hell are you all doing? Your dumbass  cannot even carry out a simple mission but look at you all dreaming about being the strongest gang. You can't even keep an eye on them." the raged leader said.

"Give us a few hours S.Coups, the team will come up with something." Seungkwan said as the remaining just nodded their head in agreement.

"Jun and The8 what did you find out?" he asked. "Well we found out about their china unit known as WayV. They have 7 members. We are working on finding more information about them." The8 informed the leader. He nodded, satisfied with the information.

~BACK TO THE NCT MANSION

Aera was in the shooting range improving her shooting skills with Lucas and Winiwn, the lead snipers of the gang.

"Aera you are good at shooting targets but you also need to keep one thing in your mind that is your position and posture. Correct posture and position relieves your burden of hitting the target. It also helps you concentrate." Winwin instructed her.

He stood beside her and showed how to take a proper position and posture.

"First, you need to keep your back straight. Loosen up your shoulders but not too much. As you hold on to the gun, use your other hand as a supporter to manage the gun's weight. Now, when shooting keep your hands straight, don't bend your elbows as it loosens the grip on the gun and we don't want that. Keep your shoulders together and as strong as you can. A gunshot is very powerful and important move. The bullet forces itself out of the nuzzle very forcefully causing the shooter to lose his balance. Hence, keep your shoulders together and strong. Okay? Now let's implement it." Lucas explained everything to her in detail.

"Ok, let's do it." "Do you remember what I explained?" Lucas asked as she just nodded in reply.

Aera took her position while holding the gun in her hand, ready to shoot the dummy targets. "Ok good. A bit firmer grip on the legs, perfect. Now the hands and shoulders. Yes perfect, Now shoot!" Winwin instructed.

A bullet left with full force from her gun shooting right in the heart of the dummy. "Woah you did great kiddo, now try a different location. Go for the head." Winwin complimented her and advised her.

"Okay, will do." Aera said and gave an ok sign to him. She stood infront of her target and tried aiming. The bullet whizzed past the dummy. She tried again but same thing happened again. Aera was confused.

Winwin chuckled at her reaction, "Confused with what went wrong?" She nodded in reply and retorted, "I did the same thing you told me but why did it not work?" Winwin turned to Lucas and quizzed him, "Lucas, care to explain what went wrong?" He nodded and stood beside Aera.

"Chest is considered to be the easiest target as it broader and can be aimed at by any height but when it comes to targeting a head, you need to double the concentration and raise your gun at their head level. The head doesn't have much of a blank space around making it difficult to aim at. Squinting an eye while shooting helps focusing on the target. Try doing it." Lucas explained as Winwin patted his back.

Aera absorbed all the details Lucas gave and tried implementing them. Taking the position, she raised her gun and squinted her right eye making her clearly focus more on the dummy.

The bullet left the gun's nuzzle.

BANGGG!

Hitting straight bulls-eye. Right in the center.

Lucas and Winwin were taken aback by the clean shot. "Now that's how you shoot your target . Great job Aera!" They complimented her. 

Being done with the practice, they were now returning back to their rooms. The trio reached the living room as they laughed over different things. A sudden loud bang distracted them.

They saw the mansion's door open causing Aera to widen her eyes in shock.
