"(Y/n) get away from him! Actually, no, get away from them! I knew there was something off about you!" Lumine shouted, running over to grab you protectively.

"What do you mean Lumi? He's not doing anything!" You quietly replied, ducking around her to stand with Childe.

"He's. A. Demon. He's going to KILL you! How could you let yourself be vulnerable like this?! He could hurt all of us!" She yelled.

Everyone inside was now outside, watching the fight. Aether was surprised himself, however he wasn't as angry as Lumine. He walked over, trying to calm her.

"Cutie, is there something you're not telling? This seems awfully.. dangerous, perhaps. Please explain yourself." Lisa demanded.

You looked at the faces of everyone around you. Your friends. Who knew if they'd want to be your friend anymore, though. They all had disappointment in their eyes as they watched you protectively stand in front of the man.

"Why are you acting like this, Lumi? What has he done to you?" You blurted, watching her face slowly get angrier.

"He's going to take advantage of you, (Y/n). You aren't seeing it, and I don't know why! Just make him leave before he decides to hurt someone!" She yelled.

Aether was still rubbing her shoulder, trying to calm her.

"He isn't doing anything right now, look! I trust him even if you don't, and how did you even find out?" You calmly replied.

Kaeya walked out between you two before Lumine said anything.

"I told her. I suspected something odd was going on, and looks like I was right. You told me just over a week ago that you were going to summon a demon, and now you have this random man here. Not only this, but it seems that you're more than ready to defend him." He stated, loud enough for the others hear.

Lisa looked the most surprised, betrayed even. She would've never expected you to do something do dangerous, especially alone.

She calmly made her way over, standing in front of you and giving you a stern look.

"(Y/n), I don't know the whole story of the week you've spent with him, but it's something you need to forget. I will assist you in getting rid of him from your apartment, but you need to know that you're in a dangerous situation. Let us help you." She looked into your eyes, waiting for a response.

Amber's eyes hadn't left the man behind you, her face was full of fear. Lumine was angry, and Aether was still calming her. He was just as concerned. Kaeya had an eye on the man, watching his every move. Lisa's eyes never left yours.

Childe felt guilty. He was grateful that you defended him, treating him like he truly was your best friend. Nothing would make him feel less guilty, though. Your friends were obviously upset at you for having him around. He knew this was his fault.

He listened to the argument, you continuing to defend him as everyone else talked down on him. Lumine had seemed to upset you the most, he assumed she'd never acted this way and thought that was why.

"(Y/n).. I'll give you five seconds to get away from him, and let Lisa deal with him." Lumine hissed.

"I refuse to let you do anything, no exorcising, nothing! Leave him alone, he's on of my best friends!" (bestie vibes only)

"No, (n/n), I'm your friend. He's a demon, evil." she asserted.

She then began counting down.

"Lumine, why are you acting like this? I'm just fine and I can make my own decisions.. Just because you're my best friend doesn't mean you can tell me what not to do! He hasn't hurt me in any way, and he's saved me from getting hurt before! Please try to understand!" You shouted with a shaky voice.

She counted down to 7. Then she responded.

"You're either oblivious or ignoring it because everyone in this room has some idea. I love you! Not in the way friends love each other.. To see you do this hurts me because I don't want to lose someone like you!" She shouted, trying not to tear up.

"That's why! Even if you don't feel the same way, it's in your best interest to leave him behind!" She finished, continuing her countdown.

"Lumine... I can't. I told him I wouldn't, and that won't change!" You shouted back.

Your feelings for her couldn't be returned. She knew this, yet that wasn't what made her angry. Out of all people to choose, you chose him. He wasn't even human. He's a danger to you, and you didn't care.

She continued counting, dread continuing to build up inside her for every second you stood there.

"(Y/n).." Aether glanced at you, a pleading look.

Everyone watched you. Amber nervously walked in the house to watch from the glass door. Aether, Lumine, Kaeya, and Lisa stood still in front of you.

"(Y/n), lets go." Lisa warned.

Kaeya nodded in agreement. You shook your head.

"No." You sternly replied.

Lumine turned around, walking off.

"Don't come to me when he takes your soul, (Y/n)." She growled.

"Lumine there's no need to be harsh!" Aether scolded, trying to talk her out of her current awful mood. 

Kaeya and Lisa shook their heads in disappointment, walking inside. Amber watched from inside before nervously going into the living room.

You stood there silently. Had you just lost your friends? There's no way.

Tears threatened to fall as you stood there processing the current situation. Childe himself couldn't figure out what happened. You'd both hidden it well, and yet it comes out.

"I'm sorry." was all he could mutter, placing a hand on your shoulder from behind.

You turned around, throwing yourself into his arms. There was no hesitation as he wrapped his own around you.

"Please take me home.." You cried.

He used whatever demon power he had going on to quickly bring you to your own home, and into your bedroom.

You refused to let go of him, though he didn't mind. It did make him feel guilty again, but he tried his best at comforting you.

He laid down with you, as you both held each other. You just wanted to go to sleep. You wanted to wake up and have everything go back to normal, but it wouldn't happen.

Unless..?

"I can make it right, sweetheart." He mumbled, running his hand through your hair.

You stayed quiet, hugging him tighter. He pulled you closer, cradling you until you fell asleep.
