You nervously sat on the couch, waiting for a call. If you couldn't get help from Xiao, you didn't know what you'd do next. He was the only person with paranormal experience who'd probably help you.

No one else would be willing. You lost yourself in these thoughts again, wishing Childe was holding you then.

It was all you could think about, however, you were unexpectedly pulled from your thoughts. Instead of your phone buzzing, it was a knock on your door.

"He knows where I live?" You mumbled.

You quickly rushed over to the door, pulling it open. Who was at the door, you were not ready for.

.

.

.

"Why are you here, Lumine?" You asked in a monotone voice.

"I want you to come over tonight, duh! A sleepover. Me, you, Paimon, and Aether!" She smiled.

It was almost as if she was trying to act like she hadn't done anything. Sure, maybe it wasn't ALL her fault, but she definitely contributed. That was enough for you.

"I don't think so. I already told you we aren't having one now, and I'm going to be busy anyways." You scoffed

Her smile quickly faltered. She began to get serious.

"Listen, (N/n),  it was for the best. You've been excited to see me for a week, and this is what's stopping you?" She complained.

"How do you feel now that I'm not hanging out with you, especially since you supposedly have feelings for me?"

She paused, caught off guard. She wasn't quite sure how to answer.

"You're probably at least a little upset, right? Then you should understand what I feel right now." You continued.

"You fell in love with him?!" She fumed.

No hesitation was present when you confidently answered with a 'yes'.

Lumine was speechless. She couldn't believe it. How had you managed to do so?

"This is wrong, (Y/n). It's not possible to be in love with a demon." She stated.

"Whatever. I don't feel like talking to you about this right now, Lumi." You finished, closing the door.

She sighed in frustration.

"If this is how it'll be, then fine. I'll keep trying, but you can't stay mad forever. It was for you." She said, walking off to her own place.

You sat in front of the door, head in your hands. Was it right to be mad at her? Surely it had to be, but you weren't sure. Was there really a way to fix it without the awkwardness?

If only Childe was there, maybe he'd have advice. He would definitely have given you a hug, but you couldn't get either for the time being.

You sighed, still holding your head with your eyes closed. No noise was heard for some time.

Until..

Your ringtone sounded loudly through the silent apartment. Scrambling to your feet, you sprinted to the couch and picked up the call. An unknown number.

"Xiao?" You mumbled.

"(Y/n). I will assist you."
