"I MISSED YOU!" You shouted, throwing your arms around Xiao.

Xiao rolled his eyes, but smiled a little, waiting for you to let go.

"So, still ready for the café?" He asked.

You nodded happily, sitting down behind the desk. The shop still had another half an hour until closing time, but why not go early and see one of your favorite people.

Childe wanted you to wait until the shop closed, but you told him you had to go because it'd been so long. Though you offered for him to come with you two, he said he was too tired.

So it was now just you and Xiao.

"So, what's it like in Snezhnaya?" Xiao asked, leaning on the desk.

"It's cold, and a lot of the time it's pretty snowy too. The place is beautiful, though! Maybe we can all go on a trip there sometime.." You trailed off, thinking about how fun it would be.

"Depends on how many people 'we' are." He replied.

"True, maybe we all wouldn't be able too. That's too many people and you don't really like people anyways." You laughed.

He smiled for a second before shifting his focus to the door. In walked a taller woman with blonde hair and blue eyes. Her hair was styled into a ponytail.

She waved at the two of you before walking into one of the aisles which consisted of different crystals.

She seemed familiar.

"Excuse me? Could you two help mr pick out some crystals? They're for my girlfriends birthday gift, but I don't know anything about them like she does." She explained, a small smile, worried smile on her face.

Xiao got up, walking into the aisle to help her while you tried to think about why she seemed so familiar.

"Oh I know who she is now!" You announced to Xiao, who was locking the shop up.

He gave you a confused glance before making sure the door was locked.

"That girl who came to buy crystals, she must've been Lisa's girlfriend!" You continued.

"I'm not sure who either of them are." Xiao responded, turning towards you.

"Oh right, I don't think you've met Lisa.. That's alright. Ready to go?"

He nodded, walking faster than usual as the both of you began making your way to the café.

"Excited for the almond tofu?" You chuckled as he nodded.

Xiao was quick to finish his food, deciding to order more after. It was as if he just inhaled it.

"Is it that good?" You asked, taking a sip of your drink.

"The best." He responded, then thanking the waiter as she brought out more.

"So, will you be returning to work soon? I assume you'd want to rest first." He spoke once the waiter walked away.

"If you're alright with it, may I have tomorrow off? I'll be back after~!" You sang happily, waiting for his answer.

"That's fine. A friend of ours would like to meet you since she hasn't had the chance yet, though I must warn..
she's a little.. strange?" He told, trying to think of the right word for a second.

"I've met strange people, so I'm sure we'll get along well!" You winked.

"Well, I'm sure she'll like you." He replied, smiling a little as he took a bite of his tofu

The two of you continued to eat, and talk about many different things. Xiao would tell some stories about other demonic things he'd dealt with when you asked him, some of which were absolutely wild.

"What's the strangest demonic experience you've dealt with?" You asked, hoping it was something other than your case.

"Strangest, huh?..  I remember one where someone claimed their house was haunted after researching, and decided to call me. I went over and eventually figured out they were right to call, but could you guess what the deciding factor was?" He seemed interested in whether you would be able to figure it out.

"Hmm... Maybe.. Dead animals? Like birds and stuff?" You guessed, looking at him for an answer.

"Close, I suppose. It was the odd smell around certain rooms. The smell wasn't from dead animals, but the demon itself oddly enough." He finished, taking another bite of tofu.

That was a very strange experience.

"Ahh it's a bit later than I planned on staying out.." You sighed, hoping Childe wouldn't be upset.

"Same here, but I suppose Zhongli can wait a little.. especially if Hu Tao is with him." He shuddered at the thought of having to hang around with her.

You laughed, saying your goodbyes before turning your own directions to leave.

It didn't take long for you to reach your apartment, quickly unlocking the door and walking in.

"I'm back~!" You announced.

No response.

You walked around, checking the rooms to see where Childe had gone. Once you made it to your bedroom, you opened the door slowly.

"Childe?" You called quietly.

You flicked the light switch on.

On your bed sat the man himself, arms crossed with an angry expression.

"I was worried I'd wake you from sleeping or something.. What's up?" You laughed nervously.

He just went 'hmph' before closing his eyes. You sighed, walking over to him with a smile.

He cracked an eye open to look at you, waiting. You knew he wanted a hug or something, so why not surprise him instead?

"HuH?" He yelped as you jumped to tackle him onto the bed.

You trapped him with your arms and legs so he couldn't do anything, and could barely move.

"Whatcha angry for?" You asked.

"You took longer than you said you would." He grumbled, turning his head so he wasn't facing you.

"Only a little bit!" You replied, rolling over so you were next to him instead.

"And that's a little bit less time I get to spend with you."

"Alright then... I need to shower, but we can do whatever you want when I'm done!" You smiled, flicking his nose.

You got up to grab some clothes from your closet before walking to the bathroom.

"Hold on.. Anything I want?" He questioned, sitting up and smirking.

"I don't like where this is going.."
