Never Again (MikaYuu)

CH 8: Truth or Dare?

Third person point of view:

   "You know you can tell us, Yuu kun. We are worried. We have never seen you that scared, even Shiho is concerned. Please, tell us. " Yoichi pleads, the whole squad attention are on him. He dared not to look into any of their eyes, feeling weak under their gazes.

   Taking deep breaths, he face them, bringing his face up slowly. " I don't want to talk about it." His voice did not intended to sound as broken as it came out, but it did.

   He felt betrayed. Mikaela. His face scrunched up at the thought of that name. All this time they spent together, although not for long nor often. He couldn't believe it was all fake. His gentleness, his kindness. He can't believe he has been fooled by the blonde. To thought that he believed him, although not fully. It just hurts. What was his intention? Vampires are known for their predator instinct, and humans, are just their prey. Their livestock. Nothing special.

   He felt a sting in his eyes and before he knows it, tears rolled down freely down his cheeks. He wiped them harshly. He is not going to let his guard down around vampires.

Never again.

   "Oi, Yuu! Stop that! Don't cry!" Mitsuba said, her voice strict and demanding." Crying.. is for weak people." she said, sobbing." Damn it, you are infecting me! " She said, throwing her arms around his figure.

   "We are going to be here when you need us, Yuu san. You don't have to be afraid." Shinoa said, as she joins the hug with yoichi. Kimizuki hesitated, but after a nudge from Yoichi, he joins the group hug.

   "Feel better soon, you dumbass" Kimizuki whispered, ruffling his hair.

   He is on the infirmary bed, he passed out due to panic attack. The group have been asking him what happened to him, but he insisted on not telling them.

   Yuu have been avoiding Mikaela for pretty much, the whole weak. It's not like he didn't notice that the blonde want to have a talk with him, he can't find himself to look at the blonde normally, moreover to have a talk with him. He's having nightmares, and it's worse than before.

   It took place at the orphanage he was enrolled in before. The place seems familiar, but he couldn't remember any of it. He would wake up in the middle of the night with heavy ragged breath, and tear stained face. The results, he looks tired and worn out for the rest of the week.

   The blonde have been reaching out for him. He heard him calling out his name in the hallway, but he just walked faster. In class, he would feel a stare burning onto his back when he shared classes with the blonde.

   And as for the blonde, he started to grow frustrated. His guilt are eating him alive. He wanted to apologize so badly but it seems as if Yuu have been avoiding him, which is true. He did not confront the raven since he don't want to scare him. But he is not sure how long he can hold back until he break down. It was his fault after all. If only he didn't lose control on Yuu the other day, this wouldn't be happening. They could probably talk, and maybe, just maybe, Yuu could accept a vampire as his friend.

   He groaned into his hand, tears prickling on the edge of his eyes. He do not have time for this, sitting in the detention classroom because he don't pay attention in his chemistry class. Teachers have done nothing to help him, they just weigh him down even more.

The door slides open.

   He do not bother to look, until he heard a familiar voice saying. "Oh."

   His head shot up. "Yuuchan, wait-" he tried, but the raven turned his back and slammed the door shut.

I would rather getting detention twice than facing him, so off i go. Yuu thinks.
