Eclipse's POV
Shadow and I got up again, since Shade had come to get us, now for the third time in a day. We would be training as Guards, learning how to protect the camp from intruders. We followed Shade across the huge camp, eventually stopping near the entrance of the camp.
"Well, I know you guys are tired, but this will be the last training session for today, and then tomorrow you guys will do the other half, then repeating the training for the next two days after that." Shade said, turning around.
"And by the way," Shade continued, "You will be trained by Bramble. He is the best Guard in our entire pack."
I sighed. "When will this end?" I muttered under my breath.
"I hope he comes soon. I'm so tired." I heard Shadow say.
"Yeah." I agreed.
Suddenly, a brown pelted wolf appeared behind us.
"Agh!" Shadow shouted, jumping into the air.
"Relax, it's just Bramble." I said, calming him down.
"Yes. It is just me." Bramble said.
I turned around, and noticed that Bramble was really big, and really buff. No wonder why he was the best guard. He could probably out-muscle any wolf in our pack, excluding our Alpha of course, who was the smartest, most agile wolf in our pack. (Dang it! I keep writing Clan instead of Pack. WHY FINGERS WHY?)
"Now, we will begin training." He stated, walking in front of us.
I heard Shadow groan as he did this, so I nudged him to shut him up.
Bramble was literally a bramble. Nothing could get past him. Even the slightest mistake we made was pointed out. I respected him, but it was getting intense. We were taught basic procedures of when a rogue, or another pack comes in. All we had to do was to howl as loud as we could, then try to fend them off while our packmates were coming to help. I thought this procedure was easy, but then Bramble told us that there would be dozens more to come if we were chosen as Guards for our ranks. Bramble explained techniques of how to take down an opponent, like a tackle, which the name explains. He also explained where to aim our blows so that they would be effective to take our opponents down. One spot was their head, which if we applied enough force, it could knock them out right away. Another place to hit was their underbelly, where there would be the least fur so we our claws would be more effective. Eventually, we finished our training, and Shadow and I were panting by the end.
"Can *pant* we *pant* go *pant* now?" I panted, asking Bramble.
"Yes you can." He replied.
Shadow and I walked towards the river, needing to drink water again. Once we reached it, we started lapping up some water, and it was really refreshing. Our parched throats were wetted again, so we wouldn't be thirsty for a few more hours. Even though we weren't thirty anymore, our bodies were still sore, so we pretty much had to limo back to our den. I was so glad that this was our last training session for today, and that we could finally take a break. When we arrived at our Psi den, we flopped onto our stomachs and curled up. Hopefully we would be able to actually sleep for the night and not just lay in our den, wide awake. I closed my eyes, and focused on sleeping, and eventually, it came to me.Disclaimer: I made up all the battle moves using my imagination. I just had to think about what move would be effective and such, then creating a name for it, and finally they would be taught the move.
Thanks everyone for the reads and votes. Maybe this book will become as popular as my a Enderlox one. Maybe. Probably not, because not everyone is as interested in wolves as I am. Cya guys in the next chapter! Buh-bye!~nivla101
