Mount Weather is no longer a threat to us, three years later. Now, the Grounders and Sky People alike live together in harmony, in villages that we built, in The City Of Light. If there is Heaven on Earth, this is it.
Grounders are trusting, training, and even having relationships with the Sky People, ignoring differences.
A tree rests in front of my cabin, decorated in lillies, the purple flowers holding memories of Lilly.
Lincoln and Octavia have settled all arguments and difficulties between them, and are happily together; same as Clarke and I.
Askari's wrist, due to lack of medical supplies, is still oddly bent, facing towards her stomach. She tried to hide it at first, convinced that it was ugly, but Monty convinced her that it was what made her unique. And as for Askari's wolves, they are still overprotective.
I walk into my makeshift cabin, greeted by Clarke.
"Hey," she says with a smile. "Is something up? You look awfully happy today."
I didn't realize how much I was smiling. "Just - just look at what we've all acomplished," I say. "Most of us used to hate each other, and now, we live in the same village."
"Yeah," Clarke agrees. She hugs me, and I wrap my arms around her.
"Also, I'm excited about Junior." I say, rubbing her protruding stomach.
Clarke giggles, "Only four months to go."
"Anyway, tonight's the anniversary feast." Every year, there is a feast to celebrate the bonding between the Sky People and the Grounders.
"I've heard," Clarke says. "I mean, only everyone's talking about it." She laughs.
"Yeesh. Sorry." I say, and we both laugh.
"OK, this is really cute and all," A voice comes from the window. Octavia's voice, to be precise, "but we're," Octavia gestures to all three of us, "helping set up for the feast. Like, now."
"O, why can't you come to the door like a normal person?" I ask, resting my arms on the logs that make up the empty hole we call a window.
"Because, Big Brother, I am far from normal." She replies with a smile that looks to big for her face.
"You said it, not me!" I say, heading to the door, Clarke following.
I can hear Clarke's laughter, and think back to the times where I never heard it. Where there was so much pain. So much danger. So much heartache. But now, we finally have a chance to be happy. Free.
We walk to the feast area, where lanterns, cups, plates, candles, and other decorations gather on top and around the exceptionally large table. Octavia is having an amazing time decorating, the idea of so many colours in one place excites her. Clarke laughs at something Octavia says to her, no doubt it's about me. Octavia whispers into Clarke's ear again, and this time, Clarke smacks her arm, still laughing. The sun has partially set, leaving the sky stained with pink and orange. Lexa lights the candles on the table, and we all stand.
"We are here to celebrate the bonding between the two nations, Sky People, and Grounders. It was once thought that they would always be at war, but constant pain and suffering was not an option." Lexa says. She continues her speech with stories of the Mountain Men, and how they are no longer, how we have defeated them, together. How they can no longer harm us.
Everyone eats their meal, and after, the children play games. They run around the camp, shouting things like, "Tag, you're it!," and, "Haha, you can't get me!".
A small child comes to the bench where Clarke and I are seated. Her red hair stands out amongst all of the others. She sits down in between me and Clarke.
"Hi," the girl says. She can't be more then six, "I'm Nandi. My mom's right over there." Nandi points to a Grounder woman sitting in a chair, watching Nandi carefully. I wave at her, only to receive an eye-roll.
"Well, I'm Bellamy, and this," I gesture to the blonde sitting beside Nandi," is Clarke."
"Does Clarke have a baby in her belly?" Nandi asks, smiling. Yep, definitely six.
"Yep." I say, popping the p.
"Is it a boy, or a girl?" Nandi asks.
"We don't know until it's born." Clarke says, smiling at Nandi.
"I hope it's a boy, but Clarke wants a girl." I say, smirking.
"Well, it could be two babies. Like me and my brother. We're twins." Nandi says, and her blue eyes light up when she calls her brother over. "This is Milo."
"Maybe we'll have twins." Clarke says. "Now, why don't you go play with the other kids?" Nandi smiles, and runs to join the group of kids, who are playing another round of tag.
It's like they never run out of energy. Even the adults are getting tired, and they're just sitting there.
I look to my left, and see some of the Grounders making music on their homemade drums. And then I see the two goofballs dancing like idiots to it. But, Monty and Jasper seem to draw everyone in like a magnet to dance. Even Lexa. I'm not surprised when I see Octavia there. Three years ago, we would be running for our lives, not dancing.
"Come on, Bellamy." Clarke smiles widely, and grabs my hand, dragging me to the dancing circle.
"I don't dance, Princess." I say, squeezing her hand.
"I don't really care. You have to now. No exuses." Clarke laughs.
And so, all us Grounders and Sky People end the night by dancing under the moonlight.
All of us are, for once, happy.
