"Beautiful. Amazing." I tell Clarke about Lilly. She asked me to, when she saw I was upset. I guess it kind of helps to remember the good times. "She was also a bit crazy." I chuckle at this, remembering all the times Lilly would do crazy arts and crafts with Octavia; tell her crazy stories; hold 'fashion shows' for her; anything that made Octavia smile, really.

"Is she still..?" Clarke asks, not wanting to be too pushy.

"No, unfortunately. Lilly was floated two years ago." I say quietly.

"I'm sorry. I know how that feels." Clarke says, putting a hand on my shoulder.  I simply nod.

"Bellamy! We need you. Now." Jasper yells from outside the dropship.  I spring to my feet and run outside. The barking of dogs fills the camp.

A girl, no older than fifteen, stand at the entrance of camp. She is wearing Grounder warrior clothing, and is armed with a bow, a quiver of arrows, a sword, and judging by the barking, a few dogs. Her hair is a dark blonde; her eyes hazel.

"Why the hell is there a Grounder in camp?" I yell. "She could kill us!"

"She wants to help. Like Lincoln." Octavia says.

"O, you can be so naive-" but I am cut off by the girl speaking.

"My name is Askari. Lincoln is my brother. I am here to help." The girl- Askari- says. Then she yells something in Grounder language, and two large dogs stand by her side, and cease to bark. One of the dogs has blue eyes; the other has brown, and their fur is white and grey. Their heads reach to about Askari's waist. From what I've read in books on the Ark, these look like wolves. Lincoln then appears from behind a tree. Oh, what lovely company.

"So what?" I ask, aggravated. "You and two fluff balls are going to help us fight?"

"Sahara!" Askari says, points to me, and whistles. The brown - eyed wolf runs at me and tackles me to the ground, standing on top of me. She snarls, showing her fangs, preparing to bite. Before she can, Askari calls her back. "My dogs are attack dogs.  They only listen to me. So don't piss them off."

I stand up, brushing dirt off my sleeves, and realize I have a couple scratches from the dog's nails. Clarke rushes over to me and inspects them. I assure her I'm fine, but she takes me in the dropship anyway. I sit in the table while Clarke dabs the scratches with moonshine. After they are disinfected, she wraps a bandage around them.

"Some help she's bringing." I spit.

"She's showing she's powerful. Do you know what 'Askari' means?" Clarke asks, securing the bandage.

"Now how the hell am I supposed to know what 'Askari' means, and how the hell do you know?" I snap.

"No need to be snippy." Clarke says. "And Octavia told me. Said Lincoln told her."

"So, are you going to tell me what it means or keep rambling on?"

"'Askari' translates to 'warrior' in Swahili."

"Swahili being..?"

"An old language. Finished." Clarke says, rolling my sleeve back down.

I head out the dropship door."Bellamy?" Clarke's voice stops me."Don't kill Askari or Lincoln....or her mutts."

"Anything for you, Princess." I smirk as she rolls her eyes.
