"Octavia!" Lilly says, running around my apartment, chasing ten year old Octavia. "Don't make me tickle you!"
I sit on the couch and laugh as Lilly starts tickling Octavia. Octavia starts laughing and finally opens her balled fist, revealing a small roll of yarn. Lilly snatches it.
"Thank you very much." She smiles. "Now come on. We have dresses to sew."
Lilly brought over some spare shirts she had at her apartment. Since she's fifteen, the shirts are big on Octavia, so they're fashioning them into dresses. The only reason I trust Lilly with Octavia is because I've been her friend for five years, since we were Octavia's age.
Octavia runs back into my mother's room, and I grab Lilly's arm to stop her from following. "Thanks." I say, grinning. "For everything."
"No problem." She smiles. "What are friends for?"
"Yeah. Friends." I say.

"O, will you listen to me for one damn second?" I say, walking behind my sister. The moon shines above us in the dark night.

"What?!" She whips around and faces me.

"You're right." I say. "I screwed up. Big time. I just love you, and I'm trying too hard to protect you. I'm sorry."

"Did you - did you just apologize?" Octavia says, half-shocked.

"Yes. Now do accept my apology, or what?" I ask, frowning.

She hugs me. "I love you, big brother."
