Hence the whole phrasing, "lust, love, lust" where lust is where it ends. He loves you don't get me wrong, but he lusted even more. Hence why, this is considered the "bad ending".

What's so significant about "EB"?

To put it simply, he sacrificed himself for your love. He was born an incubus. He hates being an incubus, and hates it even more ever since he caught eye of you that very night.

When you declined and said you wanted to stay on earth and that it's the circle of life and all will die, he grows upset and "kills himself" in human form. And yes, he survives but that's how he becomes human, in a way you could say this is reverse Romeo and Juliet.

His act of love and longing to become human and witness passing and just want to be able to die ties him to the idea of true love. Hence why in this ending, "love lust love" where it ends in love.

He loved you truly and would do whatever it took to be with you, and If that meant becoming human then that's exactly what he'll do. Which he did.

What's the better ending?

Both are beautiful happy ever afters. Whatever you choose is your choice. He loves you regardless. Would you like to live the rest of your days with Keigo on earth? Or thrive in an dystopian world with an incubus as a lover?
