I Don't Do Love

Prologue

It was 7:00, the boys were going to wake up soon, and as usual, I was awake by myself reading a comic book. Star was awake and trying to wake up Laddie.
Let's get things started. My name is Danielle, I'm 13 going of 14 and I live with vampires, but of course, I'm not a bloodsucker myself. I have brown hair that's always in a big teased ponytail(80s style) and I wear leather pants, boots, a cropped white shirt and a sweater that covers my butt. I'm tan and about 5'5. I was a runaway when I was 5. David and the boys found me on the side of the road when I was 5. I was beaten by my head and it made me get amnesia. I don't remember where I can from, but David knows and he said it would be better that way.
But I love the boys, they're idiots but they're my idiots. We're like a big family and as a group of big bad vampires they'd seen mean but they're not! David is like a father to me, he's fun and caring but a little over protective.
Dwayne is my buddy. I am a sporty girl, me and him play basketball and the park near the boardwalk. One on one. He's taught me tricks and moves and he would probably look the most like my brother.
Paul is like the guy that I always joke around with, we always get into mischief together, but out of all of the boys, he's the most immature. But I'm still close af with him.
And then there's Marko. Marko is basically my other half. I ride on the back of his motorcycle, he's always there for me, and he was the one that took care of me most when I was younger, if I had nightmares, he was the first to be by my bed and comfort me. David thinks that when I get older, I'll become one of them and me and Marko will fall in love, of course I wouldn't mind that. I thought he was the cutest of the group, with his jacket and curly blonde hair, he always has girls stare at him, even though he is short. I always make fun of him for that.
Star is like my sister, we joke around a lot, she was the one that gave me "the talk" and she is always by my side. She came into our group when I was 7. While the boys are out feeding, we walk around the boardwalk and talk about boys, bands and clothes. Plus we tell each other everything. She's a half vampire. She's been like that since she came, and that night she drank the blood, I found out about them being vampires. I couldn't drink the blood yet because I was too young. She gets really upset about it and sometimes cries before she goes to sleep in the early morning, and I'm there to comfort her.
Then Laddie is Stars child. She met David when I was 7, they had "it", had a baby and now Laddie is 10. Since he had a full vampire Dad, he came out a 1/2 vampire, and if you're born a half or full vampire, you grow 2 years instead of 1 year, so he's 10 now. He's quiet and fun to be around, but he vamps out a lot and David doesn't want him as a full vampire yet.
