I Don't Do Love

chapter 4

***Dannys pov***
I watched as Sam and his mom drove off, I really wanted to talk to him in the morning and hang out with him all day, but I know David wouldn't let me. I turned around to see the boys staring at me and smiling. David looked serious and Star and Laddie were making faces.
"What?" I said. And walked over to Marko's bike, David followed my every move staring at me with the same serious look.
"Have fun?" David asked me.
"Yeah." I said with no facial expressions.
Then we drove off.

***Davids pov***
I know Danny is old enough to deal with boys, but I didn't like it. She is like a daughter to me and I love her, but it was a different her. How good was Sam? He can't be that sweet to make Danny fall in love with him! I know she has to grow up but the boy makes her seem like she's already a woman, it's just too early for me.
As we drove off, we were at a stoplight on the roads, then Star said my name from behind me on my bike.
"David," she started, "look at her."
I looked over to Danny, she had her head on Marko's back staring into outer space and smiling like an idiot. Star started laughing and I kind of chuckled. Marko realized that we were looking at looked behind him. He started laughing too. Then we drove off and headed back to the cave, I was gonna have a talk with her.

***Danny's pov***
I couldn't stop thinking about Sam, on the way to the cave, I kept smiling and thinking about him, his smile, hair, and the way he talked and his eyes really got to me.
When we got back to the cave, David told me to come and talk to him. Alone. I hope I'm not in trouble, I didn't really want him to know I liked him because he was right, Sam was a good guy, but I didn't want him to be right.
First he started off slow.
"So, did you like him?" He asked.
"Yeahhh, he was really nice, but I don't think that I like him like that." I lied.
"Okay, you know I'm a vampire and I can read your mind right. I saw the way you were smiling on the ride home." He smirked.
"Well." I was tired and wanted to sleep. "Ok well is that all you wanted to talk about because I'm kind of tired?"
"No."
"Ugh!"
"Wait! I just wanted to let you know, that you're probably gonna be around him a lot, so if end up dating and if he gets you pregnant, you know I will have to kill you, and him, right?" He joked.
I laughed. "Promise you, I'm not Phoebe Cates."
"Haha, okay." He got up. "Well goodnight." Then he kissed my on the cheek and left.
I got changed and laid in bed, I quickly fell asleep. I had a dream about Sam that night, we were walking around the boardwalk and he was holding my hand. But since I don't know him completely yet, nothing special happened. But I woke up around 3:00am and thinking about Sam and trying to fall back asleep to finish the dream. I have to see Sam again! I can't get enough of him, and only after one day!
