"Getting ready to hang out with mommy?" Asked Hitoshi as he laid on the toddlers bed watching her pick out her 3 plushies to take along with her.
"Mm." She nodded slowly.
"You like her right?" Hitoshi asked. He was the only one who noticed the small change in behaviour.
"Yes." The toddler lied.
She didn't want to be mean. She was really excited to have a mom and now that she finally had the opportunity she felt like complaining would make her look like a brat.
"Okay well if anything happens you tell me okay?"
She nodded.
It had been a month since (Y/n)'s birth mom just sprung up claiming that she wanted her daughter back.
She'd drop in randomly, during weekends. After school or even on Sunday evening during their movie nights.
"Hello my little kitty cat!" She squealed ruffling the girl's hair while Aizawa stood there awkwardly.
"Hi mommy.." she mumbled.
"ready to go, little dudette?" Asked Jeff, picking the girl up.
'How dare he!?' Hizashi thought 'picking my baby up so casually!?'
"Yeah!" (Y/n) nodded finally cracking a genuine smile. The highlight of her days were spending time with Jeff.
He was dumb. But he did take good care of her.
"Nice dude. Anyway- Uh- can we go babe?" Asked Jeff.
(M/n) nodded, bidding farewell to the family before leaving with her daughter.
The three men were then left in the living room in silence.
"You're not gonna let her take (Y/n) right?" Asked Hitoshi.
Aizawa's heart sank. He didn't want to talk about that. It was almost as though their family was finally complete and now (Y/n) was going to leave.
"...it's both (Y/n) and the court's decision." He stated solemnly.
"It's been almost a year since she moved here. Do you think they'd just take her away?" Hizashi asked Shota.
Aizawa hated times like this. Sometimes he didn't want to be the mature one. He too was scared but he had to be the emotionless one, so nobody would panic.
"They wouldn't....they can arrange some-"
"Dad you heard her. She said full custody." Hitoshi interrupted "its not fair! She's ours. We adopted her fair and square."
"Exactly. She's basically our daughter. Who gives a fuck about birth and blood! She's our family!" Hizashi added.
"Let's all calm down" Shota sighed.
