XENA'S POV CHAPTER SIXmy wandering eyes captured the scenery unraveling in front of us, a sight that only excited the adrenaline junkies one would say. the back end of oikawa's mazda MX-5 swinging to the left side as we drifted around a curve, him straightening the wheel out afterwards creating a black skid-like mark the cement that was now a straight edge.
the silver rings hugged around his slender fingers just right, the sunlight hitting the metal at certain angles that made the material beam brighter than it already was. the color complimenting his fair skin that leaked with a stygian ink.
none of his tattoos had a peak of color, only the coal color raised from his layered skin. "switch with me." his voice sparked me from my observations, sending a ripple of confusion to wrap around my brain.
"i don't know how." his facial expression showed that he already knew my inability to drift, hence why i've only raced during the straight aways. switching places with oikawa, i landed in the driver's seat. "start off normally." he directed as i nodded in response. staring off in the first gear, shifting to the second as i gradually caught up to speed.
the track consisted of two straight aways and two curves, shaping into an oval. "again," he signaled, ordering me as i shifted to the third gear, finally catching enough speed.
the first curve edged its way closer, the jumble of nerves danced their way around my stomach as i began to feed off of the adrenaline i was receiving.
the anticipation seemed to be eating me away, "pull the handbrake, swing left first then right." he instructed, doing as he told my hand slid to the handbrake, pulling the lever up as my right hand swung the wheel left before swinging right- making the back tries slide to the left.
"put the handbrake down, fix the wheel and shift to the fourth gear." i listened closely to the directions, doing as he told, i pushed the lever back down, fixing the wheel and shifting to a higher gear- the fourth one.
"atta girl!" his voice coming out in a praiseful manner. "do it again baby." my eyes sliding to the right to catch a glimpse of him to see a broad smile that was plastered onto his rose petaled lips. his pleasant expression washed its way over to me, becoming contagious.
repeating my actions from before, my hand collided with the handbrake, pulling it up as i twisted the steering wheel first to the left, then to the right as the back end swung to the left once again. putting the car in park, my body twisted in his direction.
"thank you." my voice coming out just about a whisper, mesmerized by his pleasant state. his thumb drifting towards my mouth, his intensity was enough to burn directly through me. his eyes pairing with my lips as his head moved closer to mine.
the heat radiated off my body as my cheeks flushed with a pasty scarlet color, it was as if he was moving in slow motion. my lip quivering in an impatient manner while i waited for him to just kiss me.
his petaled lips collided with mine rapidly, the initial touch was slow and soft, gradually his force became heavier as his lips began moving on mine with restrained intensity.
the warmthness leaving as quickly as it came, his lips pulling from mine. his silver hands placed themselves on the apples of my cheeks. they were so cold. the ice cold touch sent shivers to run down my arms.
"my pretty girl," he paused, his brown eyes skimming over what seemed like every detail of my face. his eyes shifted to meet mine, the art of eye contact. his deeply brown glimed eyes were truly captivating and they drove me completely insane.
his phone vibrated, tearing the attraction between the two of us. a mischievous grin smeared his expression, before i could even ask why he was so excited, as his words spoke over my thoughts,
