XENA'S POV      CHAPTER SEVEN

"so, what's this little trip for? you never exactly gave me any sort of explanation to it." my hands continued to rummage through layers of clothing while keeping a conversation with oikawa all at once. "i'm guessing some sort of job, you learn to stop asking questions after a bit." his comment made my lips flatten out, i suppose he's right. "where are we going again?" questions on top of questions seemed to pile on one after the other.

"it's an island in tokyo, one of the more popular ones actually." he kept his answer simple and direct. "okay." exhaling a breath, knowing if i asked further questions that it would get annoying.

"baby, relax. we'll have a fun time." oikawa's body heat radiating off him, transferring onto the top layer of my back as his arms engulfed me into a secured hug.

this action began to release the majority of the tension that was building up in between my shoulder blades. my neck rolling back to meet the top of his left shoulder.

"you make everything better, you know that?" releasing a loud sigh as my words spoke out to him, my eyes fluttering closed. "i know," it was as if i could already see the smug expression on his mischievous face, making out his prominent features through the darkness of my closed eyelids.

"you didn't have to ruin the moment like that." picking my head up from its resting state on his shoulder, my voice coming out in a sleepy tone as the exhaustion hit.

not getting enough sleep the night before was nearly killing my ability to even think straight at the moment, half the reason being i was alone. i've always found it easier falling asleep beside someone else, ever since i was a young child.

it was like a safe spot for me, always has been. "i don't know what you're talking about." the provoking tone reeked from his lips, he was in an awfully good mood this early morning.

"yeah, okay." repeating his tone as he seemed to catch on fairly quick, clasping both of my hands together with just one of his while my body turned rapidly to meet the front of his.

his hot breath fanning over the features of my face, his dark silhouette irking towards mine. "is my pretty girl copying me? that's hot." his intimidating figure finally spoke, his right hand diligently caressing the skin covering over my left cheek.

"give me a kiss." his tone changed, now falling into a softer inflection. his hand moving from my cheek to grasp onto the back of my head as he lightly pushed my face closer to his.

oikawa's tongue running across his lips, coating them with a thin layer of saliva before placing his damp lips onto mine. placing multiple, tiny pecks on my top lip first, grasping onto a fist full of my hair as he pulled his hand down- forcing my head upwards.

my lips forming a pucker shape, him finally connecting our lips fully. the initial touch being softer than usual, the warmthness of his lips transferring heat back onto mine as we shared a sweet kiss.

his kisses were ones that showed more than anything he could say verbally, though he is also good with his words. i feel like the more emotions he wants to express would have to be through physical touch.

"hey, lovebirds it's time to go. i hope you're all packed." kuroos figure peeking in through the door frame from what i could see behind oikawa's deep silhouette.

the only response from oikawa was an eyeroll, showing his irritation from the interruption. "okay! thank you." raising my hand up above oikawa's shoulder, waving to kuroo while sending a soft smile his way as well.
