"What's going on? Why is Yoohyeon there? " Bora yelled from across the room.

Yubin quickly muffled the speaker with her sleeve and whisper-yelled, "I don't know either." Bora pouted for a moment but seemed to accept the answer, her eyes still droopy from sleep.  "Okay."

Yubin took her arm off the speaker and said, "Siyeon, could you pass the phone over to Yoohyeon, please?" She heard a grunt from the other line and some shuffling. "Hey, Yubin, is that you?"

"Uh, yeah. What are you doing with Siyeon?" She cut straight to the point. Yoohyeon was being very suspicious.

"Oh, she's my girlfriends best friend. They decided to come over this morning." came the other voice.

"Oh, okay. Well, I'll leave you to talk to Bora, huh?"

"Bora? Is she at your house?"

"Yeah."

Yubin passed the phone to Bora, who politely declined to speak. The blue-haired girl furrowed her eyebrows and shrugged. "Bora doesn't wanna talk."

"Okay. Bye, Yubin."

"..."

—————

"Okay, so what was that all about? Since when did Siyeon even know Yoohyeon?" Bora nagged.

"Look, I don't know either, okay? So stop pestering me."

"Jeez... okay."

"We need to warn Siyeon." Yubin sighed.

Bora hummed in misunderstanding. "Warn her about what?"

Yubin looked at Bora and raised an eyebrow quizzically. "Never mind." she said and got up off the bed to leave. By this point Bora's interest was piqued. "Yubin-ahh~ What is it..?"

But Yubin had left.

-

No, no, no, no. This was bad, very bad. Yubin really needed to make sure that Yoohyeon didn't get too close to Siyeon or Bora. Yes, that was it. Everything would be fine.

Everything would be fine.

Everything would be fine.

No. Who was she trying to kid, nothing would be fine. Even if Yubin kept the devil herself at a distance. Yoohyeon would always find a way. Yubin didn't even know why she befriended a demon such as her. Quite literally.

-

You and Minji said their goodbyes to Yoohyeon, and left the house. Almost immediately after they arrived at their shared apartment, You said in a hushed tone, "Yoohyeon is strange." Minji's eyebrows shot up and her face clouded in hazed offence. "And why might that be?" You gaped at Minji, wondering if the elder girl even saw the red flags today. "She's hiding something. I can feel it." You murmured. Minji still stared elsewhere, seemingly nonplussed by your hushed mumbles. You continued, "You really need to talk to her about this. I don't think she has good intentions at all."

Minji hummed and you raised an eyebrow.  That wasn't the reaction she expected.

Minji seemed far, far too calm.

You slowly backed away from Minji, who seemed completely oblivious to what was going on. Her glazed eyes hardly strayed from where Siyeon had been standing previously.

To say you were fucking terrified was an understatement.
