Burgundy's POV*
Rain poured upon my face.It felt as if 100 needles were being pressed into my face. The cold made it even worse.I ran along the street trying to find a place that I could at least dry off.As I ran along a sign hung from a building that read "Cafe Musain".Lights shined from the windows and people stood inside. It was a place to be warm and possibly I could eat some food.I opened the door.I kept my hood on.My jacket was buttoned up.I looked like a man.How embarrassing for me.No one could see my face which was great.I approached the counter.A young girl came up to me and said "Would you like anything to eat?"I replied back "Just tea please."The young girl disappeared to fetch my tea.As I sat there I looked around."Shoot!"I thought to myself. There was not one women or girl to be seen. All men.It smelt and boy was it disgusting. As I sat there at the counter waiting a young man ran into me.He had black hair.He looked up and slurred the words "Watch where your going idiot..."I replied back in a deep voice (Trying not to reveal I was a girl.)"How bout you watch where your going."Of course everyone's head snapped at me.Even though my face couldn't be seen I was still frightened. All the men started shouting "Fight!"What had I gotten myself into?!The man with black hair through a punch at me.It ended up hitting my face.Without saying a word I grabbed the mans arm and flipped him over my shoulder kicking him to the side.It had gotten quiet. When my tea arrived chatter started and everything went back to normal."Say what's your name boy?"A man with dirt brown hair said.He had a red velvet jacket on that looked horrific and torn up."None of your concern."My heart pounded."Crap!I forgot to speak in a deep voice!"The man stared at me and said "How about you take off your hood and show me who you really are."As I went to back up I ran into another man.The same I beat up earlier. But this time he wasn't slurring.I was cornered. As I went to run I tripped and fell. The whole entire place laughed.Someone in the crowd said"The poor lad can't even walk!"I was surrounded by idiots. The door was blocked by men. Then as the man with brown dirt hair approached me I had no choice."Good bye world."I thought to myself.I pulled my hood down.My brown curls hung loose. The man with brown hair literally gasped. The place got silent.I stared down at the floor. My face turned red of embarrassment. The brown haired man said "I'm sorry mademoiselle..."I shook my head and replied back "I accept your apology."I stared at the floor and approached the door when the man with the black hair yelled "Don't leave mademoiselle! It's just us men.We won't bother you."I hated that word.Mademoiselle.It ticked me off for random reasons.I cleared my throat and replied back "I would love to stay but apparently I must be leaving."Before I went to walk out the door I gazed outside. Not again.Javert and his crew of men were patrolling the streets.I couldn't go back of jail. Not today.I turned around and said "I'm going to stay because it's too cold outside."The chatter started up again and everything once went back to normal.I continued back to sipping my tea.The man with brown hair came up to me and said "I'm sorry milady.I didn't know you were a women under the hood.I'm Marius Parmercy, and you are?"I stared up at him and replied back "My names Burgundy.Apology accepted Marius."We both shook hands. "What brings you to France?"Marius questioned.I said "I've lived her my whole entire life.I was abandoned at the age of 5 and I've learned to get by ever since."Marius shook his head and said "We'll it was nice meeting you Burgundy but I have business to attend too"Marius disappeared into the crowd.I sat there and my stomach started to rumble.I haven't eaten all day.But I had no more money left.As I sat there someone tapped me on the shoulder.I turned to who which was the man with black hair that slurred when he spoke."Hello mademoiselle!I'm Grantaire!Sorry about earlier.Hungry? Here I'll buy you something."The man spoke joyfully. He talked very fast.He handed me a piece of bread.I took the bread and said "Thank you Grantaire.I'm Burgundy. Thanks again for the food."Grantaire smiled and replied back "Anything for those in need."Grantiere ran away into the kitchen.
Marius Parmercy's POV*
I feel such like a jerk. How the heck was I supposed to know that it was a girl?!Burgundy was the girls name.I sat at one of the chairs gazing into the fire.Grantaire came running up to me and sat across from me."So whatcha think of the girl?"He questioned.I replied back "Why do you always think about other peoples feelings?Just saying I don't care about her.I just feel bad."Grantaire smirked."Well I bought her bread so yeah."He relplied back.I laughed and said "What are you trying to prove?"I looked back at where Burgundy was.She got up and walked out the door.I looked out the window and watched her.She walked along the street.Where was she going?I thought to myself.Burgundy's POV*
The cool breeze hit me as I walked along the street.Very kind of the young man to pay for food for me.No one had ever done that too me.As I walked along the street.I felt a twig brake from
an alley. It was footsteps getting closer to me.As I ran they got closer. As turned to go down to an alley I came face to face with a man with blonde hair and blue eyes.I got so terrified I screamed and blacked out.Plunging myself into utter darkness.
