"So when are you going to see him next" Jaden asked as we sat on his sofa, searching for a movie to watch.

I pulled a blanket to my side and said, "Whenever I guess. You know I don't plan stuff and I think he knows that too."

It had been a a few days since my rooftop trip with Harry. After the quick ending to our night, he asked to take me to Jaden's but I said no.

Me and Jaden had been friends forever, and I would usually need him as a comfort person after the a phone call like that. However, after talking to Harry I didn't need to anymore. The phone call was fresh out of my mind.

Harry drove up to my apartment and we hadn't said much after leaving the roof. A comfortable silence.

Since that night, I couldn't stop thinking about him. All I wanted was to live my normal life with my friends and forget about this man, but I couldn't. I don't know why the conversations we had impacted me, but I really wanted to see him.

I refrained, however, didn't call or text and the first time I had even mentioned his name was right now to Jaden.

"Do you think there's a possibility of you dating him." Jaden asked stretching out on the sofa.

"No definitely not. You know I don't do relationships anymore. A date here and there, meaningless. But a relationship, big no." I immediately said, walking into the kitchen to grab my phone.

Jaden gave a dry laugh, "Syd I know, but come on this could be different. From what you've said, he's really nice and he doesn't even know you yet."

"Oh I see how it is, so when he gets to know me he'll change his mind." I laughed playfully kicking him. "Hmm probably", He teased back as I began to scroll on my phone.

As I tapped on my screen, a text from an unknown number popped up.

I smiled to myself and looked over to Jaden, who was still looking through the Netflix catalogue.

"Jay, I may have to rain check on movie night. Harry just asked if I wanted to go over to his and listen to a song he's written for the album, is that alright?" I asked twisting to face him.

"Oooh, already being replaced" Jaden laughed as I pushed him, standing up and beginning to gather my things.

"Yeah it's fine don't worry, but don't think you can make this a regular thing. You can't be ditching me now you've got a singer boyfriend", He added, pointing his TV controller at me.

"You know I never could, and he is not my boyfriend. I'll text you when I get there, bye Jay" I said before shutting his apartment door, and heading out.
