Trigger warning: gore, violence, murder

"Please don't!" The young girl begged. Tears running down her face and her heart beating rapidly. The man was straddled on top of her with a knife ready to cut into her. The man was Richard.
"Shut up bitch!" He boomed. He started to raise his arm up to slice into her.
"No, don't do this, I'm begging you!" Cora whimpered. She squirmed and tried to fight the killer off but before she could the sharp blade plunged into her chest. Choking on her own blood with wide eyes she gasped desperately for air and slowly began to lose consciousness eventually dying. The last image she saw, him hovering over her with a smirk plastered across his lips.

Cora shot up sweating and breathing heavily. Her heart pounding and her mind racing. She sat in bed next to the man sleeping soundly who had just killed her in her own nightmare. All she could think about was,
'What if that happens in real life. It's only a matter of time before this terrifying nightmare becomes true. I have to get out of here if I want to live.'

This was her warning. She looked to her right and saw Richard. His chest softly rising up and down and his eyes shut. He looked so peaceful but she knew what he could really be capable of. Quickly and quietly she got out of the small bed, grabbed her bags, and put her shoes on. This was it, Cora was going to get out of what seemed to be like a horrifying dream.
She looked back at the figure still sound asleep. Cora turned and headed for the exit. She turned the knob without a sound and opened the door. She set one foot outside before a hand covered her mouth from behind and pulled her back in. She had been so close. 'Fuck!' She silently thought to herself. She fell into the man's chest from behind and was thrown onto the bed forcefully, making her drop everything. When Richard was mad nothing stood in his way. His strength took over. He got on top of Cora and straddled her pulling out a curved blade just as he did in her dream.
'This is it. This is how I'm going to die.'
"You bitch! I told you not to leave!" Richard seethed.

"I'm sorry I won't do it again." She was trembling and tears were starting to fill her eyes. He pressed the knife against her neck so hard to the point where a small stream of blood started trickling down her skin.

"You stupid little girl. I wasn't lying when I said Satan will always show me the way to you. You do that again and I will kill you! Don't doubt me mother fucker!"

"I swear to God I won't." She sobbed

"No, swear on Satan!" Richard yelled as he slapped her across the face. He hit Cora so hard that her ears were ringing.
"I swear on Satan." She replied with tears streaming down her cheeks.

He got off and walked over to the bathroom to rinse the blood he had gotten on his hands. She was so stunned and physically couldn't move. Astonished that she had survived the outraged night stalker she sat in shock. He came back into the room with a wet cloth, firmly grabbed her arm and pulled her up. He tapped the bottom of her chin indicating to lift her head up. He started to gently wipe the blood from her cut.
"Ah" Cora shuttered, wincing at the burning sensation.

He stopped, made eye contact and then went back to cleaning her up. Once he was done he got back into bed and Cora soon did the same. She faced the wall as she did before unaware that Richard was gazing at her from behind.

10:30 am

"Wake up sleepyhead."

Cora lifted her eyelids slightly only to see that Richard was hovering above her with both of his arms on each side of her, trapping her in.
"What do you want Richard?" Cora muttered.
"You need to wake up. Now come on, we're going to go get breakfast."

Cora got into the shower meanwhile Richard went back to watching some television. She threw on some denim shorts, a black baggy cropped t-shirt, and some retro Jordan 1's. She then put her hair in a loose ponytail. When she was done getting ready she walked out to Richard who was still in front of the screen. He had on the usual black jeans, black t-shirt and a leather jacket with black shoes.

"Alright I have to know why the hell is Jake from State Farm so damn popular?! I've seen this commercial six times already in the past three hours. Who the fuck is he?"
The tone of his voice was enough to tell Cora that he was genuinely irritated by the iconic yet annoying commercial.
She giggled replying "It's just a commercial Richard calm down. He's nobody...just a man that works at an auto insurance company."
"Yeah whatever he can go fuck himself. There should be commercials of Billy Idol like there was back then. Billy is the truth man. Not some idiot who says 'it's Jake from state farm'."
He remarked in a mocking voice.
"Anyways you ready sugar?"
"Uhm yeah."

Richard pulled his 1980 Datsun 200SX into the empty parking lot of a small family owned breakfast diner. Cora had no idea how he had gotten the money, car, clothes, and everything else but she didn't question it. All that mattered is that she's not dead and the last thing she wanted to do is bug the infamous serial killer who kidnapped her.

They walked in and were greeted by the friendly waitress.
"Has anyone ever told you you look like the Night Stalker, Richard Ramirez?" The women inquired.
There was a quiet pause soon filled by Richards deep voice replying
"Yeah haha, all the time actually."

She concluded the conversation and guided the pair to a table for two out looking the vacant property surrounded by a couple of trees with white flowers blooming on them.
"Wow...you two look identical. You're not actually him are you?" She added laughing but also with a hint of concern behind her voice.

"No, no of course not. I hope they find that mother fucker soon though." He added, flashing a charming smile, hiding the lie very well.
