Harry fell unconscious, his mind played all the events of his life: voices and memories. He opened his eyes, wondering if he was dead or alive.

"Numbing the pain for a while will make it worse when you finally feel it. Tom was really numb for a long time, Severus." It was Dumbledore, quietly watching the scene with Snape at his side. Snape replied coldly, "Yes, it is easy to see that nearly six years of magical education have not been wasted on you, Potter.
They faked Dumbledore's death so Voldemort would be tricked by the ownership of the Elder Wand, leading the circumstances to be tipped in Harry's favor. "But, sir, you killed him," Harry said to Snape.
"I hexed him; nobody heard anything. Voldemort trusted me enough to believe I killed him without hearing what I casted, and I believe that disarming was enough."

The war ended and Dumbeldore's army were safe , all safe thanks to Lily's protecting charm necklace.
Lily and James, beside remus supported Tonks at the hospital wing, she had miscarried her first child. The students were dismissed to their homes, The air was polluted with smoke, the flames were burning the green grounds of Hogwarts, and the beasts and Senatuire were very alerted and ran very nervously.
The heavy, dreadful atmosphere after the war had begun to slowly decay as the sun crept into the sky.
The Potters, along with Sirius and Hermione, Floo to Grimmauld Place while the Weasleys went to their home to look after Percy, who was heavily injured.
Harry hugged Ginny before leaving. Ginny, in return, told him to visit once her brother got better and fulfilled her promise by staying with him when this was all over.
A week later, Hermione visited her parents' house. She knocked on the door many times, until her mother opened the door with a dusky impression. She greeted her mother and attempted to hug her, but her mother was furious and refused to welcome her own daughter into the home. Later, her parents informed her that the Ministry noticed there was a spell placed on them by Hermione. They found out she had obliviated them, and the Ministry fixed what had happened to her parents, even though they were considered muggles
The Grangers found this act unforgivable, for not only was it law-breaking, but also used against her own parents. Hermione attempted to explain why she had to do such a thing, but they were not satisfied, and ended up with her being disowned. They spat that she should live in the world that she chose over them and stay there. Distraught, Hermione made her way back to Grimmauld Place, crying.
She was just 18 and she had no job, "I didn't finish my N.E.W.Ts! And Hogwarts is closed for further notice, what do expect me to do."
She cried at Harry shoulder, she didn't want anyone to pity her, so she kept the situation with her parents a secret only Harry knew about.
But Grimmauld Place portraits never kept a secret, especially when the heir was walking through the corridors reaching the breakfast table..
"Very terrible, those parents. They kicked her from their house," a portrait whispered.
"Oh, really? And what did your granddaughter do? She did nothing less than them," the other portrait man commented.
Sirius turned towards them and asked, "what's going on?"
"Haven't you heard? The Grangers banished their own daughter."
"What? Who said that?" His tone was annoyed.
"She talked about it with the Potter boy, right there in the corridors ."

His face was full of shock, he immediately had a flashback when he was fired from his house.
"Good morning," a quiet, life free voice cut his thoughts. Hermione walked past him reaching the breakfast, "Aren't you coming?"
"Yes, yes I am," Sirius's eyes become deeply dark; sad expressions covered his gaze.

It was very overwhelming to her. She had her breakfast with silence as James talked about their introduction to the ministry, and Sirius's situation became more complicated now after Gringotts breakout.
"Dumbledore promised us, it's a matter of time and things will just... unfold." James said to Sirius who was concerned about his current state and Hermione's as well " even you Sirius , cheer up mate ! "
" Things will fall into place , Padfot, and I can see you from here going with us to choose furniture to our house in Godric's Hollow ,"
Lily smiled at him.
"No," Sirius interrupted, placing his coffee mug hard on the table. "No one is leaving this house."
"But Sirius, we stayed here long-"
"NO ONE," he stared at the three Gryffindors, "is... leaving... this... house! I've said my final word."
"Well, if you insist," James shook his head approvingly.
"I got used to your presence, all of you," he stared at Hermione.
Sirius spent many years living with the Potters. He wanted to repay them for the help they had given him, and he couldn't bear to live alone after these miserable years. Sirius seemed to almost forget what family sounded like in those empty years. But he also wanted Hermione to stay. After he learned what happened to her, he knew she had nowhere else to go. He loved her, yet he felt it was not the time to tell anyone. He loved her enough that he felt he needed to protect her

"But, Hermione, why don't you stay here? You have been here for a long time," Harry begged Hermione to stay as she packed her stuff to leave, as she wanted to avoid being a burden.
"Why? I am not your family nor his, I am a war hero, and I can find myself a job, or I will live at Hogwarts."
Harry said, "First of all Hermione, Hogwarts is closed and under construction."
"Second of all, he is fine with it and so we are! You have been here for a year. Don't be stupid!" Ginny chimed in.
"Besides, we are your family. Stay here at least until you finish your N.E.W.Ts"
Sirius entered the room and cut Harry off.
" Of course, she is staying, who said she is going anywhere?"
Hermione did. She is yours, and I am tired of talking. Come on, Harry. Let's go," Ginny said. Sirius closed the door behind him and guided Hermione towards the garden, as he ordered Kreacher to bring coffee.
He stared at her and had no idea what to say. She was depressed and lost, Her face was blotchy and her eyes were puffy, staring at the garden with a deep silent and sniffing her nose after crying. After a long, uncomfortable silence, Sirius finally spoke. "Stay," he paused, "for me at least , and your parents will back to their mind someday " he hold her shoulder , " I am sure "
She cried as she answered, "I can't. I feel terrible, Sirius." She paused for a second and then stared at him with questioning stares
"You know? How did you know what happened to me?"

"I heard the portraits. My ancestors never kept a secret."
She couldn't restrain herself anymore and cried loudly. As he hugged her very strongly, she felt safe and wished to never be away from his warmth.
"I tried to protect them; I did everything I could."
"It's okay, Hermione, it's okay. I am here for you... We are all here for you, pet."
..........................................................................................

At the Ministry of Magic, after two months, the innocence of Sirius Black was proved, and all charges had been dropped.. The magical media, with publishers and the Daily Prophet, were obsessed by the return of the Arrivals, the Potters, and the last and only heir of the most ancient and wealthy house in Britain: Sirius Black.
The Daily Prophet journalists gathered around, in such volume that one could simply walk over their heads,, and started questioning infinitely until James simply answered, "Well, we saw a portal opened and we jumped to it and found ourselves here. It's something strange, and we can't explain furthermore."

Dumbledore and the Arrivals went to the Floo station ignoring the rest of the cameras and the newspaper mess"As they arrived back home, they found a big feast at the table to officially celebrate them.".
During the rebuilding of Hogwarts, Harry and James decided to extend their quidditch glory together, so they went practicing quidditch with the Weasleys at a rented pitch. Sirius, as the more mature man, decided to run his family money alongside Fred and George at the Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes shop.

Meanwhile...

"The Department of Mystery, Sirius, they are offering you a great offer." Arthur suggested.
"WHAT? A Job? And at the Ministry? Arthur, I prefer to go back to the Dark Lord instead."
"Why don't you try? One week. If you didn't like it, you are free. Besides, Miss Granger took a place there--at the Documentary. It's a great offer for all of us after the war."
Sirius didn't like the idea of working at an office and taking orders from higher authority. He believed he was satisfied by running his own wealth, but he is a man after all, staying jobless would disgrace his name.
"Okay, I am coming in, but I except a nightshift. Don't wake me up in the bloody morning."
"Next Monday at 3, you and miss Granger." said Arthur Weasley as he left the house.

The ladies had a different ambition. Hermione spent her last two months at the library or joining the Potters to enjoy the game. She never liked flying, but she enjoyed quidditch. Lily did nothing but be a loving mother and wife. She waited for Hogwarts to open again to have her N.E.W.Ts with the trio; she always wanted to teach at Hogwarts. As for Ginny, she became a sports journalist, a famous one.
The days went smooth, peacefully normal and the past stress was over.
