Camera Shy

Chapter Three

The next afternoon, I met up with Luke at Piper's Pizza. It was a weird place because every waiter had the name "Piper" on their name tag. Luke was already waiting when I got there.

"Hey!" I said as I walked up to him.

"Hi!" He said back. "So have you ever been here?" He asked.

"Uh, no. I've never been to Seattle, actually." I admitted.

"Me neither, but my cousin who lives up here says its five star pizza. He said we couldn't leave without getting it!" Luke said.

"I didn't know pizza was graded with stars." I laughed as our waitress sat us down. We ordered a pepperoni pizza for the two of us to share, and then got an ice cream sundae after that.

"So, your from Sydney too?" He asked wiping his hands.

"Yup!" I said biting into some ice cream.

"You know." He started up, man this boy talked a lot. I wasn't complaining, but honestly he did. "I've never seen one of your videos."

"Really?" I laughed. "I've seen a few a your covers."

"We should make one together." Luke suggested.

"Me and your band?" I asked.

"No, no!" He laughed. "Just me and you."

I looked down "I, uh, I don't know--"

"Oh c'mon! It'll be fun!" Luke pleaded as we walked out of the restraurant.

"Okay, fine!" I gave in.

"Great let's go!" He said pulling me.

"Wait right now?" I yelled after him.

Once we got to his cousins house, where he was staying, he walked me to the guest room. He got out his video camera, and two guitars.

"You brought two guitars?" I asked.

"No, one is my cousins." He said as he handed me a beautiful 12 string acoustic.

He set up the camera and pressed play. I wasn't even ready, but luckily my face was half covered.

"Wait we don't even know what song we're doing!" I said laughing.

"Well what should we do?" He asked.

"Uh, how about.....Teenage Dream!" I said.

"Great choice!" He said as we both started singing.

When the song finished, we just talked into the camera.

Luke started talking. "Hey guys I'm here with Julie Springs, and we are up here all the way in Seattle, Washington for the YouTube Convention." He said as he cheered by himself. "How do you think it went Jules?" He asked looking at me.

"It went great for me. The fans were so nice and totally energetic." I said laughing.

"Well Jules and I have to go, but if you saw us at the convention then tell us about your experience. Also, tell us if we should do this again together sometime, and go watch Julie's videos. Bye guys." Luke finished.

"Bye!" I said waving to the camera before he shut it off. Before we posted it, we decide to watch the video.

Luke put his arm around me. "We sound good together!"

"Yeah, we do." I said as I looked at him. I saw him start to lean in again. I laughed and patted his cheek. "Bye Lukey, see you back in Sydney."
