When we got back to the house, it was 2:00 in the morning. We were getting ready for bed, when we realized there wasn't a bunk for Luke.
"I'll sleep in the living room." Luke offered shrugging. "Are you sure?" Jax asked. "Yeah! I'm the kind of person who will fall asleep anywhere!" He assured us. "Well, alright. Night Luke!" Jax said as we all followed bye say goodnight. I gave Luke a hug, and he whispered in my ear. "Text me." He said as he released me; leaving shivers down my spine. I nodded my head and he kissed my forehead. With that, he left the room.
Once I got settled in, I pulled out my phone and texted Luke.
'Me: I'm not even tired yet, are you?'
'Luke: No, me neither.'
We texted for around an hour about random things, and played silly games such as 20 questions.
'Me: I'm cold!'
'Luke: Come out here! I'll keep you warm!'
I released a big smile, and slid out of bed as silently as possible. "Carson." I heard my name being said from across the room. I turned around slowly to meet Jax's face. "Yeah, Jax?" He rubbed his eyes. "Where are you going?" He said furrowed his eyebrows. "I'm just getting some water." I lied. He chuckled slightly. "No you're not." I looked at him, trying to figure out why he has been acting so differently lately. "Jax, are you okay? You haven't been acting like yourself since Luke came." I asked. He dropped his gaze, and ran his fingers through is hair. "You like him, don't you?" He asked, without making eye contact again. "I mean, kind of." I wasn't completely head over heels for Luke just yet. It's more of a budding romance, it's slowly getting there. Jax nodded his head. "You never answered my question, are you okay?" I asked, but he didn't respond. "Jax, you know you can talk to me about anything. I've know you since age 2, and you've always come to me about your problems. What's so different?" I was honestly so confused with Jax right now. It wasn't like him to be so out of the ordinary and not confront me about it. He still didn't reply. "Well when you are ready to talk, let me know. I want to get the old Jax back. I like him a lot better." I slowly left the room, while Jax continued laying on his back, staring up at the bottom of the bunk above him.
I walked into the room to see a smiling Luke. "What took so long? The room is literally 9 feet away."He laugh." Sorry I was talking to Jax." I shrugged. He scooted over and patted the ground next to him. I went over and layed next to Luke. I kind of wanted to just cuddle with Luke, but I was actually starting to get cold. I noticed I had goosebumps, so I put my arm over Luke's chest and rested my head on his shoulder. He put his arm over my shoulder, and started rubbing my arm with his thumb.
"Warm yet?" Luke asked, but I was to tired to respond. I closed my eyes, and fell asleep in Luke's arms.
