The whole week after that, Luke was avoiding me. I try to call him; he declines it. I didn't expect him to give up on me this easily, but I guess I was wrong. It turns out that I do kind of miss Luke, so I guess I was wrong about that too. Though I only knew him for 2 weeks, the first week was really fun.
"Carson! Channing's on the phone!" My mom yelled from the living room. My friends, I totally forgot about my friends. I've been so hung up about Luke that I forgot that I have real friends who actually care about me.
My mom handed me the phone. "Hey why didn't you call my phone?" I asked.
"Oh, my parents took mine away, so I just have to use this one." She sighed. I laugh slightly. "Chan, you're always getting your phone take away! What did you do this time?" I said sounding somewhat like a mother. "Nothing!" She laughed, obviously not wanting to bring it up. I'll have to ask her about this later. "So anyways, where were you on Tuesday?" She asked. Tuesday, that was when I was with Luke. Crap! I totally forgot that I was suppose to go over to Channing's house to help her with a project. "Oh, I was, uh, sick. But I'm all better now! I'm so sorry I couldnt make it over" I assured her.
"Oh ok, well you could have at least texted me jerk." She said laughing. "Anyways Dylan, Jax, and I are going to go to the beach today, and staying the night! Wanna come?" She asked
"Totally! Where are we going to stay?" I said excitedly.
"Jax's aunt has a beach house up there and she said she'll lend us the keys for the weekend!" She said enthusiastically.
"Sure let me ask my mom!" I said as I covered the phone with my hand. "Mom! Can I go to the beach with my friends this weekend?" I asked.
"Ya sure sweetie!" My mom answered.
"Ok my mom said I could go! So when are you guys coming to pick me up?" I asked looking at the clock.
"12:00!" Channing answered. "Ok, see you guys then!" I said. "Bye!" She answered as I hung up.
Well it was 9:00 now, so I had three hours. I'm already ready for the day, so I went and packed up my stuff. I set my bag down by the door and went into my room to make a live stream. I thought I heard a knock on the door, but my mom answered it. I just assumed it was someone trying to sell us something stupid. Barely 3 minutes into the live stream, Luke walked into my room.
"Carson I--" He tried to say, but I jumped up from my chair and covered his mouth. I tilted my head towards the camera. He nodded his head. I really hope nobody heard and registered what Luke had just said. The comment box started freaking out, but I didn't know what was going to happen so I had to hang up on them.
"What do you want?" I asked sitting on my bed. I know I said that I missed him, but for some reason I couldn't stand the sight of him. He just irritated me.
"My band is having a gig up in Brisbane, and I was wondering if you wanted to come! It'll be fun!" Luke said excitedly.
"Sorry Luke I already have plans for the weekend." I said shaking my head.
"Like what? Making your stupid videos?" He said rolling his eyes.
Woah sudden change in attitude.
I shoved him all the way to the front door of my house. "No! I'm going to the beach with my friends! Who happen to a lot more important than you. So goodbye Luke!" I said as I closed the door on his face. Most of me is happy for how I stood up to him, but a very slim part of me is a little upset that I just rejected him. I actually kind of wanted to go.
