Chapter 20

5 days till extraction... Shadow was counting every day with the slightest bit of pain, after all, he felt betrayed by his brother. He was out in the field training his mirror dimension to turn it into something that he hoped would be more useful. "CRYSTAL WALL!" Shadow shouted. A big, clear barrier sprouted from the ground. "Now, liger" Liger, who was standing close by, launched himself at the barrier and used his moved he called super punch shattering it and punching shadow far back. "Damn it! Ok, once more, then we are done for the day" Shadow urged in a frustrated manner. "Are you sure about this? One more hit and I could break a rib of yours" Liger told Shadow, slightly concerned. "Yes, now get ready, this time one of your kicks though" I better brace my self... this might not work after all. Shadow responded. "Ok whatever you say..." Liger sighed. "CRYSTAL WALL!" Shadow once again sprouted the barrier from the ground and focused all his energy into it. "Omega kick" Liger launched himself at Shadow again, this time putting his foot in front of himself. Upon contact, the barrier shattered and Liger made contact with Shadows chest.

After a while shadow opened his eyes to see Liger, Lore, and Zolitare over him. Ow my head hurts... not a good idea I guess. "What happened?" Shadow asked in a daze. "Liger kicked the shit out of you is what happened" Zolitare laughed. "Ok, it seems that the move was not worth the pain" Shadow attempted to stand up but his chest would not allow him to. He felt like he was levitating and noticed Lore piked him up using telekinesis. "Your ribs may be broken due to my kick" Liger explained after seeing Shadow in pain. "You may not be able to go on with the extraction" He continued. "Yes I will, I'll be fine by then, just need to walk it off" Shadow re assured them all. "Now let's go see how Zodiac and Crimson are coming along" Shadow said, leaning against Liger for support, which liger offered.

"DARK BLAST!" Shadow could hear Crimson yelling. As they came into view they could see Crimson blasting Zodiac over and over with dark blast and Zodiac with his arms crossed over his face tanking the shots. "Hello people! *cough* how is everyone doing?" Shadow asked, hurt from his ribs. "Hello Shadow... oh my what happened?" Crimson asked Shadow in a worried tone. "Training gone wrong" Shadow said and he stopped leaning on Liger and stood himself up and as he was going to take a step he felt a squish and looked down. "Oh little slug... hello there" Shadow greeted him, while lifting his foot up. "HELLO SIR!" the weedle shouted enthusiastically. "Ugh, You annoying armless worm" Shadow said moving his foot away. "Anyways everyone, slight change of pla- -plans" Shadow called out, slightly stopping because of the pain. "So it turns out my crystal wall is highly ineffective so I'm just going to throw the whole move away and stick to net nobody" Shadow announced. "And will you be able to fight with your injuries?" Lana asked, coming down from a tree. "Yeah I'll walk it off by the time the day comes" Shadow reassured Lana.

"Ugh" Shadow suddenly collapsed and Liger caught him. "Thanks" He thanked weakly. How does Zodiac even handle broken bones this well? I can barely stand up... I've told the group I will be able to fight well when the time comes but I'm really not sure that that will be the case. "Ok everyone time to get ready, tomorrow is the day we all get physically trained and ready for non powered combat" Shadow announced, still leaning on Liger. "Ok Liger, help me get back to my place I just need some rest" Shadow told Liger and started limping towards the mountain cave with Liger on his side.

I'm back! But that is not going to stick is it? I'm very inconsistent! Hopefully people like ToxicEcho and Defender260 still await my return...
