Before y'all say anything, this does not mean that I like Krell, I just have seen a lot of stories where he's mean and abusive to his padawan and I just wanted to write something different. This doesn't always match up to the Umbara Arc because I was mainly writing this at school so that my writing is better than it would be home and don't want to watch episodes of the pieces of the arc that I'm including while in school. Anyway, enjoy!!You walked onto the gun ship with your master, Pong Krell, standing beside him and his clone captain, Swift. Unlike your master, you cared for the clones and would put yourself in danger to save them. Krell wasn't incredibly happy about that but he cared for you, and thought of you almost as a daughter.
"Why exactly are we heading down to the surface, Master?" you asked as the gunship took off. "I thought that we were giving Master Skywalker and his battalion air support?"
"Yes, that was the original plan, but the council needs Skywalker back as soon as possible. We will be taking over his battalion while he is away," he responded, his four arms crossed.
"We are almost to the surface, sirs," said Swift, turning towards you.
"Thank you, Captain," you nodded, acknowledging him. Krell, on the other hand, barely acknowledged him, just waving one of his many hands. You stood in silence for the rest the trip down to the surface.
You stepped out of the gunship behind Krell once you had landed, the clones following behind you. "Master Krell," you heard Skywalker say. "We thank you for the air support, but I take it that isn't why you are here?"
"You are correct, Skywalker," your master began, brushing off his thank you. "The council requests your presence immediately."
"B-but I can't leave my troops!" Skywalker exclaimed, gesturing to the clones behind him. You tuned out the rest of their conversation as you studied the clones. You saw a clone with blonde, buzz cut hair who you guessed was either the captain or the commander considering how we was standing behind the general and how he was holding himself. You observed that he had Mandalorian Jaig eyes on his helmet.
I wonder how he earned those. They're not the easiest thing to earn, you thought, running your hand unconsciously over the Jaig eyes you had carved into the hilts of your lightsabers, before looking at the other clones who were standing by the Jaig eye clone. An ARC trooper with a beard and a five tattooed on his forehead. You could sense a deep sense of loss in him. You surveyed him a little more before Krell snapped you out of your thoughts.
"You will stand at attention when I talk to you, Clone," said the Besalisk to the clone with the Jaig eyes. The clone snapped immediately snapped to attention, pinning his bucket to his side. You smiled at him sadly, having known that Master Skywalker wasn't this hard with them, as you walked up and stood beside your master. "I may do things differently than your general, but my ways are effective." he growled, standing in front the clone. "Dismissed." With that, he walked off, giving you time to meet the clones that we standing in front of you. The clone snapped to attention once again, as you turned towards him.
"At ease..." you trailed off, not knowing his rank.
"Captain," he said, relaxing slightly.
"At ease, Captain," you said, smiling. "I may be my masters padawan, but I'm not as cruel. Quit different from him actually. What's your name, Captain?" you asked, as the ARC trooper as well as the clone who you assumed was the medic.
"CT-7567," the captain responded, saluting you. You shook your head, gesturing for him to be at ease.
"I said your name, Captain, not your number," you said, surveying all of the clones in front of you.
