George Weasley x Reader
This was requested by Jelly on Quotev. Enjoy!
You walked into the Great Hall behind your best friend and younger sister, Hermione Granger. You walked towards the Gryffindor table and took a seat across from her, pulling out your Ancient Runes text book. You propped it up on the other side of the milk jug that Hermione propped hers up against.
"Hey, Y/N," a voice called from the entrance hall. Hermione looked behind you and stifled a giggle. You looked at her quizzically as she nodded her head behind you. You turned around to come face to face with your best friend, George Weasley.
"Hey, George," You said, nudging Ron in the ribs so that he would scoot down. "Would you like to sit down, Mellon Nin." Hermione started to laugh and quickly hid it as cough, causing everyone around them to look at her quizzically. "Really, 'Mione? Now you can see why I don't like you at times," she just shrugged and stood up, pulling Harry up with her. Ron got up and started to head towards the entrance hall but stopped and turned to face you.
"Y/N, what does 'Mellon Nin' mean?"
"My friend. It means my friend," you said, looking at your feet. You looked up when you heard a scoff and saw Hermione standing behind Ron as if she had come over to pry him away from you and George. Speaking of him, he had something that looked like hurt and disappointed swimming in them.
"Thats correct but we all know she/he wishes for mo-" her last words were muffled as you stood up and clamped your hand over her mouth, glaring at her.
"Don't listen to her. She doesn't know what she's talking about," you snarled. You hissed as Hermione nipped the palm of your hand. You glared at her before grabbing her hand, dragging her out of the great hall. You sent George an apologetic look before quickly grabbing your stuff, still keeping Hermione's hand in a death grip, before leaving the hall, dragging Hermione with you.
"Hermione!" you practically yelled, as soon as you were out of the Hall. "You know I don't have feelings for George! He's my best friend!"
"Whatever you say," she replied, winking. "You like him and he likes you, you just can't see it."
"I don't like him and thats final!"
"Whatever you say," was all Hermione said as she freed her hand from you grip. She winked before skipping off to class. You shook your head before heading towards Ancient Runes. On your way there you almost ran into Cedric Diggory, your boyfriend of two years.
"Hey, Cedric," you chirped, stepping in beside him. You noticed that he wasn't looking at you nor acknowledging you. "Ced? Are you all right?"
"I'm fine,"
You sighed. "Ced, I've known you since first year, somethings bothering you."
"Y/N," he started, before sighing. "How do I say this nicely? We need to break up." Your eyes widened as you stared at him.
"Wh-what? Why?" you stuttered, not feeling as hurt as you thought you would.
"I have come to the conclusion that what I felt for you wasn't real. I've known for a while but I didn't want to hurt your feelings so I didn't tell you," he said, shifting his feet nervously.
"I-," you sighed, before taking his hand in yours. "I'm not mad. I'm madder than I would've been if you would've told me at first, I'm just shocked."
"There is something else I should tell you."
"What is it?"
"I-I cheated on you," your eyes widened to the size of saucers and your hand unlatched your self from his. If you weren't mad before you were mad now. "Y-Y/N, let me explain. I didn't know why I was doing it. I thought about you every second of it. I wanted-" you put you hand up, not wanting to here anything else.
