*Third Person's pnt. of View*
As the evening settled through the night sky, Alpha Demitrey decided to allow the warriors off an hour early, so they could be well rested through the night and prepared for the war the following night. Alpha Tatum, and his trusted warriors were the first to leave the training grounds. Demitrey and the pack council followed suite, as well as the Queen and the Prince, all unaware of Pascal's missing presence.
The traitorous vampire sent a suspicious gaze over his shoulder as he creeped beneath the forest's shadow. He followed a small unrecognizable path until he reached the tree he had marked. Climbing it to the very top, Pascal was able to see above the forest top and beyond. Looking to the North, his eyes squinted until he noticed what appeared to be a moving trail, which flowed from the North and headed in his direction. Releasing a blissful sigh, Pascal felt his spine shiver as he began to taste the victory of his revenge in the air. Then he climbed down the tree, and returned to the pack grounds.
"Hello Pascal, the Queen and Prince are all inside the castle." Anna-Marie notified upon seeing Pascal reenter the grounds.
"Thank you love." Pascal smiled and Anna-Marie nodded with a smile.Aisha approached Anna-Marie but waited until Pascal had climbed the stairs and disappeared behind the double doors before she muttered to Anna, "I don't know why but that guy gives me the creeps. He's always disappearing into the forest, and the way he looks at you and the Luna is just weird."
"Can't blame the guy Aisha, he is a vampire. Plus there's no reason to be suspicious, it's not like he can plan a betrayal in the forest, not when it's roaming with wolves. I'm sure he's just trying to stay out of the way. Don't forget this is not his home, and he's surrounding with wolves. Some vampires, but mainly wolves." Anna replied with a shrug.
"I know, and I want to give him the benefit of doubt, still, something doesn't feel right in my gut." Aisha replied.
"Yeah, or maybe you're just nervous about your walk with Daniel."
"What-"
"Head's up." Anna warned, just as both ladies acknowledged Daniel approaching with Joseph, Jordan and Jayla.Jordan and Jayla barely waited for the older kids to get a move on, and they both decided to head to the castle. Joseph looked after them and chuckled with a shake of his head.
"You know something." Anna-Marie accused.
"Me?" Joseph pointed to his chest, "I don't know what you're talking about." He shrugged.
"Yeah, sure." Anna replied.Joseph squinted his eyes towards Anna, but before he could reply, Daniel cleared his throat and addressed Aisha, "hey, are you ready to go?"
"Um," Aisha turned to Anna and asked, "are you okay to wrap this up...?"
"Yeah, yeah go ahead. I'll take these back to the clinic." Anna confirmed, and Aisha faced Daniel with a smile and she said, "Lead the way."
"May I?" Daniel extended his hand and asked for Aisha's.Aisha felt her face heat up quicker than melting butter, and Anna had to stop herself from squealing into her fist at the exchange. Aisha smiled, her cheeks tinged red, then she shyly placed her hand in Daniel's hand, and her wolf purred as soon as the strong tingles of the mate bond began to run along her arm. Daniel smiled at the feeling of a similar sensation which ran along his arm, and he began leading Aisha towards the castle.
"Oh my, I can't handle watching my best friend live out her love story, Joey hold me, I feel faint." Anna swooned and doted before dropping herself into Joey's arms.
"Oh No! The future Luna has fainted! I repeat the future Luna has fainted! What are we to do? How can we revive her?" Joey asks dramatically.
"She needs the kiss of a prince." Anna said quickly, before feigning faint again.
"A kiss from a Prince? Well I'm not a prince, but I'll still kiss her. Maybe there's a special magic in my lips that'll make her think she's kissing a prince. Fear not fair Luna, I will save you." Joey announced, before he dipped Anna lower, and kissed her lips.
