*Third person's pnt. Of view*
After the various string of advice between her grandma, her wolf, and her mom, Anna sat down quietly, just trying to figure out her next move. However, that proved to be difficult when mosquitoes decided that they wanted Anna-Marie for lunch. Grunting and muttering as Anna-Marie slapped her arms harshly over her skin, she called out to Joseph, who was there in seconds.
"Yeah?" He replied as he walked up to her.
"I can't stay like this, or else these mosquitoes will finish me off." Anna-Marie pointed as she waved her hands over the shirt, and with a nod, Joseph retrieved his backpack, and pulled out his black joggers. He avoided looking at her bare legs when he approached her. He knew that if he did, he may not want to hand her the pants. Joey handed them to Anna, then left the caves to give her some privacy. After the past few tantrum, he made sure that he gave Anna space, so she could think clearly and decide her next move.
Happily slipping on the pants, Anna-Marie tightened the band around her waist, then she sat down again, and tried to think over the past few days, and months, and years.
*Anna-Marie's pnt. Of view*
While I sat down quietly, my mind was anything but. The memories, the stress the pressure of making a decision was bearing down on my mind.
It felt as though everyone was trying to push me to forgive Joseph except they didn't understand how I felt. No one wanted to listen to how I felt. As much as it is true that Joey and I were not in a relationship when he was involved with Vanessa, what he did afterwards broke my heart. He knew that we were destined to be together and I understand that he was confused. Receiving news that you impregnated a woman was not the easiest pill to swallow, but I expected my mate to trust me and confide in me. Not even that, I expected my best friend to trust me and confide in me.
Yet instead of talking to me he ignored me, and when I sought him out, he took advantage of how the mate bond affected me instead of being truthful with me. Joey has been my best friend since I can remember and I knew that years of friendship couldn't just be forgotten. But trust, once it was broken, it could never be the same. Joey and I had so many adventures together, and we made many awesome memories. We had a lot of firsts together too. Our first time eating sushi, our first time riding a roller-coaster. Our first time transforming into our wolves... and our first kiss.
Joseph was my first kiss, and I remember it like it was yesterday.
*Flashback*
I had just turned 16 years old and Joey just turned 17. The day after his birthday I saw Joey heading into the forest. I followed after him just to see what he was up to.
"Hey Joey wait up!" I called out to him as I ran from the castle and up to him.
"Where are you going?" I asked as I approached him.
"The cliff, wanna come?" He invited.
"Yeah sure. Aisha's with her mom in the kitchen, and by the looks of it she's not planning on coming out anytime soon." I stated as we began walking through the forest.
"Yeah, I don't blame her. Anila's food is the bomb." Joseph explained with a smile.
"Yeah it is..." I replied in agreement, then I looked away trailing off.
"Uh oh." Joseph abruptly exclaimed.
"What?" I asked instantly on alert.
"You're thinking... and that's never good." Joseph pointed, and I scoffed as I punched his arm and laughed as I said "shut up."
"Come on, out with it. What's got you thinking so hard?" Joseph asked, and I shrugged looking away as I said "nothing."
"Oh its something. Come on, I really don't think the forest floor will be the best place for you to fall on if I have to tickle you to get you to tell me, so save us both the trouble." Joseph warned, and I squinted my eyes as I said "you wouldn't dare."
"Wouldn't I?" He asked, and I frowned. I could never be too sure of Joey's next move.
"Alright, I'll tell you when we get to the cliff." I stated in a promising tone, and with an agreeing nod, Joey and I continued making our way to the cliff.
