Chapter 1

Rainbow Dash flipped through her diary, writing all her personal thoughts:

January 3rd 2021

I think there's something wrong with me, I can't sleep at night, I'm very slow unless I use my geode, I'm doing okay in school, but I can't really focus. I may be becoming disordered or sick. Sometimes, when it's cloudy at night, I get really cold like my temperature just suddenly drops and I feel really strong around nighttime, especially before daylight savings.

Rainbow Dash then got a text from Twilight:

We're having a study group if you want to come

Rainbow Dash wasn't really in the mood for the kind of thing, so she put her phone and her diary away. She seemed to be pretty quiet today

*everything pauses*

Rainbow: I'm not quiet!

Ugh, Rainbow Dash, can we get back to the story? You keep interrupting

Rainbow: *sighs* Fine

*everything continues*

At night fall, the routine continued, clouds covered up the sky and Rainbow Dash grew cold and could hardly sleep. When it rained, she got worse, it was like catching a cold or a high fever. The next day, she discussed her weird feelings with her friends.

Applejack: Probably all in your head, sugarcube

Rainbow: It's not in my head, it's real, I felt it. I don't know what's wrong with me, this has been going on for my whole life and my parents told me it's just the weather.

Pinkie: Don't be silly, Dashie! It's not always cold all year round

Rainbow: I know! It's kind of silly that they told me that!

Twilight: It's simple, the temperature normally drops at nighttime but the ground stays 55 degrees fahrenheit all year round

Rainbow: I don't need your science, Twilight! I'm gonna find this out myself, screw you guys!

Rainbow Dash left in a flash
